Suggestion - Exsiled_one - 07-02-2010 Hey guys, how badass would it be if you posted rejected rule violation reports, without any names of the guy who reported it. Just to show where did the report go wrong? or maybe show a well written report or two so people can write them properly. Suggestion - Thommy - 07-02-2010 They could just make all violations reports visible to everyone. Prob is that every report would become a war between players, no matter what admins do. Also, admins will never do it because they want to get away with it when the don't sanction some people who do deserve to be sanctioned. Suggestion - Exsiled_one - 07-02-2010 You have a cat head on front of a jet fighter. Either way, ignoring the "national conspiracy newsletter", it really would help if we could see some nicely written sanction reports. So people know what to screen, what to type and how much should they use the F bomb. Suggestion - Jihadjoe - 07-02-2010 ' Wrote:They could just make all violations reports visible to everyone. Do you know the reason we don't do this? Hmm... Clearly not or you wouldn't have suggested it. When someone gets reported, normally at least one party involved has done something stupid. When people have done something stupid, is it nice, kind, decent or human to humiliate them by making their stupidity public? A lot of people do very stupid things which are not sanctionable. The other reason is this. Someone gets sanctioned. They are angry with the guy who reports them. They now know who it was. They go and take revenge. We get another report. That's a great cycle to get into, right? Suggestion - tyro - 07-02-2010 although current procedure works well, I can say that sometimes when people know they are not anonymous they are less happy to report others, and it reduces amount of reports. at least it was like that in another server of another game long time ago, where I was an admin. however it is truth, that there was often war between players around reports. Suggestion - Agmen of Eladesor - 07-02-2010 Other than the specific things that Dusty mentions (don't edit the bloody screenshots - and ideally just post a link to someplace like photobucket, don't embed the actual picture)... Most of the rejected sanction reports fall into a category where someone has misunderstood the rules. They're not rejected per se - it's just that there wasn't a violation of the rules in the first place. (And probably 3/4 of those are because people misunderstand rule 5.2.) Nearly all of the rest of the rejected reports simply don't have any screenshots attached. We don't process sanction reports based upon your DSAce log or simple testimony only. |
