Today I was on my way to Freeport-11, Omicron Delta. I entered the NFZ and was about to land at the Freeport, but I noticed some vessels within the NFZ and decided to contact those. Two of those vessels were of the Order, while two other ships carrying Avengers| tag were identified as BHG (they carried Bounty Hunters IFF). I was not there at the beginning of the talk, but by the sound of the voices I understood that there was going to be a firefight. I tried to reason the parties by reminding them of the NFZ, but the Avengers claimed that their operations are not affected by the NFZ. When I warned them of possible consequences of breaking the NFZ rule, they simply fired on me, making NO demands adressed to me specifically. My ship was destroyed, but that's not the main problem: they shot antimatter cannon while I was close to the Freeport. I guess it's a pure luck that the antimatter didn't damage the Freeport's domes or hangars. That's why I would like to ask: does the NFZ rule apply to all vessels? And if so, what actions can you take to prevent further incidents like this? As for the proof, I have some logs, and those will be sent to any interested party via secure channel. There were two "Avengers"-tagged vessels: Avengers|Pericles and [color=#FF0000]Avengers|Nightshade. I'm awaiting your response. Scott out. Tate to: Mr Brian Scott "the NFZ apply to all those that consider themselves guests of our freeports and do wish to be considered guests. - so if you want to stay on our good side, you respect our rules, if you wish to get on our bad sides, the consequences for breaking our rules are upon your own responsibility. Self defense is always allowed no matter where you are, motivating a firefight is frowned upon as is outright attacking. verbal attacks or speaking to others in a hostile manner can be counted as hostile intentions and it is appreciated to take that to outside the NFZ. keep in mind, the NFZ is a small shieldbelt around our installations - space is big, pilots that fail to take their arguments outside this little bubble of freedom will need to pay the price for that. however - our stationcommand is often quite busy coordinating traffic and station internal affairs - and so these laws can only really be enforced when dedicated zoners keep them up. - mind you, a civil and responsible behaviour persists, even if the owner of the house is not at home. - or do you smash your hosts furniture just cause he is not looking? the above is just the general idea of the NFZs. - break them, and we break you. ... respect them and we respect you. - and in these hostile systems, having someone that respects you is far better than having someone that wishes to break you. the NFZ applies to all vessels. - but is of course void when immanent danger persists - like nomad attacks or other hostile activities that might endanger the freeport. if a pilot and or a faction keeps violating those simple rules - they might find their docking rights taken away temporarily or permanently - and our patrols engaging them, as they painted themselves to be enemies of our ways. your attempts to calm things down are appreciated ( even if we only have your word at that time ) - de-escalation is always preferred to weaponsfire. - if prove is provided about who started the shooting though - steps can be taken. - without prove it is hard to decide though. as always it amazes me that pilots can t seem to take their hostilities outside the NFZ. - it really appears to be intentional to start fighting within the NFZ, when you consider that the NFZ only takes up 0.00001% of all the delta system. regards E. Tate. postscript: if you do have prove or explanatory images of your guncam, it is always appreciated to review them. Due to some issues of my Neural net connection I am capable of sending the proof only now. Even if it doesn't reveal the agressors' BHG IFF, it still might be useful, since they admitted being in the NFZ, there are threats adressed to the Order, and there is proof of my destruction. But now I'll reveal that to all the Zoners, so that they will be aware of these pilots. Databank Part 1 Databank Part 2 Databank Part 3 Databank Part 4 By the way, "It does..." phrase said by me means that the NFZ applies to any ship there. For some reasons, it is displayed later than it should be on this log. Even if this data is not enough, I still appreciate such a fast response. Thank you. [color=#FF0000]Ending transmission |
