Council are enemies, (duh) revolutionaries against gov't.
Maquis are terroristic version of the council...
Sirrians are unwelcomed....

Others?
What should I know about Gallia RP, I figure outcasts are overused and Gallia could use some love...

Well, I dunno really to explain those things, but I was gallia nub just like you. I read wiki and all that stuff, but I learned most of Gallia RP through ingame interactions which was kinda hard considering Gallia activity before. Now it's quite awesome that there always someone to interact with.

Err... yeah, best read up on a LOT of Gallia lore before doing anything radical.
Go have a look at the wiki, seriously, there isnt much that you cant learn from the wiki/GRN faction status post.

Well, I won't say anything against making char in gallia, since you already decided that :crazy:
and others did it more then enough. :P
But yea, Gallia is more alive then before for sure. There is [C], RdG|, GRP|, GRN|, Maquis| and some other groups. Check official faction requests and that stuff for more info.
edit: He is already doing it folks, so at least give him directions not to screw up :P

Anyway, with all these unlawfuls about, the police and navy have started turning up to shoot stuffs. Plus there's two Gallic corporations setting up, in IDF and EFL.
Still, by all means, make a Valour. They're lulzy.
Basically, to RP a Gallic noble (and you have to be one of those to get a Captaine's seat in the Navy) inflate your ego a tiny bit more, and slap an extra layer of USI on. From there, act snooty around fellow Gallians, and a raging <strike>homo</strike>xenophobe around Sirians.
EDIT: I'll simplify it.
Shoot: Council, Marquis, Brigands, Sirians.
Don't shoot: GRN, GRP, Gallic Corporations.
