Is the coalition off limits to most people like the phantoms and the nomads?
I wanted a coalition character. they look different, I'm sick of the whole strait forward lawful or unlawful, law enforcement or pirate I've beeen doing both for around a month now.
I created a character with a cool Russian sounding name (I think Russia was one of their countries). Then I flew out to omega 52 in a starflier to get the coalition on my little repcard thing. Then I bought a cool looking ship and started blowing up everything I came across. I've been doing this for close to a half an hour now, and coalition remains "RED" (they'll fire at me).
I tried doing this with nomads when I first came to the server obviously to find out it was impossible, is this the same with the coalition? Does it require the Special RP? I'm far to lazy to ever apply for a special RP.
do I just need to carry on blowing up everything that flys by, as I said, I've been doing that for a while now and have got very close to getting the colalition to "White", but remain half a block away.

What? essentially? Is it impossible to get the coalition to friendly on you rep card?
It seems every cool faction is like that. I understand with the nomads, to stop half the server running around in nomad ships, and talking in a strange manner.
I've never seen a coalition pilot on-line, perhaps I'm not observant enough.
The liberty Navy should also be restricted like that, maybe there wouldn't be so many Navy pilots then. In fact the odd fighter that you see isn't the problem. The price of the liberty dred and battle cruiser should be raised to something ridiculous.
I would apply, but:
There will be a specific format in which I will need to apply
They will ask why I want to join the faction (How do I answer that "Uhh, IDK I wanna see what it's like")
They probably want good pilots, and I can barley fly straight let alone shoot at that pesky little red cross.

The Coalition is a closed faction, just like the Wild and Nomads. It's in order to prevent abuse of the RP and of the equipment.

Every other factions equipment and RP is open for abuse. (and is abused regularly,inevitably I know )

By the grace of God it was granted officialdom, a system, and its own tech line, which can be easily abused, particularly the weapons. For the very same reason nobody wants a bunch of idiot Keepers running around, the Coalition is a closed faction by the choice of its founding and current leadership. As such its membership is highly restricted, its RP demands very high.
