Question: IDs and ships - Drake - 07-07-2010 Out of curiosity, what's the point of the Recruit ID if you can't buy a faction's ships while using one (due to a FLhook thingy, I assume)? For that matter, how are people supposed to rep themselves to buy a faction's ID when the faction's ships can only be bought while using that ID? Note that this is in regard to factionalized fighters, not capital ships. Question: IDs and ships - ProwlerPC - 07-07-2010 I don't know, I've used the Recruit ID for the purposes you mentioned. Have I been doing it wrong? Question: IDs and ships - Dusty Lens - 07-07-2010 The recruit ID was a mistake built during a time when we didn't have the tools we enjoy today. I'm advocating for it to be removed and a far simpler repping system put in place which will remove the need to grind missions. At the moment it has no positive use or purpose. I hope that the same id restrictions could be added to the guns but it will be a hell of a work for devs. Now you can buy faction MK1 ships in it. But if it is a new char I tend to make missions/bribes in CSV with restart command. I've always said, why am I spending hours repgrinding for guard ID when I should be out trying to be useful with RP and stuff. |
