Time for first sig: for my GC - Chase - 07-09-2010

Alrighty, so this one is kind of a "work on it if you're bored and like the art style" kind of thing, as I'm not one to carry a lot of credits on me. If you're up for it I'd like a signature for my Chrysanthemum Sei Osugi.

The Char.
For those of you who don't know my character, she's a Liberty born (Edit: She grew up on Denver if you wish to use that.) Kusari woman, mid to late twenties with long hair, usually worn up. Very intelligent, strong in her cause, will hold a grudge, but she's a genuinely nice and friendly person.

The Sig.
As far as the signature, anything Kusari-esque goes. Colors in order of priority: Purples, Black, Reds/Oranges, Darker Greens maybe? Preferrably something simple/abstract/space-themed. Feel free to use the Chrysanthemum logo from the wiki, and to add in either the Orchid or Hachiman GB in the sig if appropriate. As far as lettering goes, simply my character's name "Sei Osugi" or my gunboat the "Serendipity" as well as Golden Chrysanthemums somewhere.

Requirements:

Text: Sei Osugi OR Serendipity, AND either [GC] OR Golden Chrysanthemums.

Style: Japan; swirling art, Japanese characters, fans, chrysanthemums/orchids, etc.

Colors: Whatever works; Purples, Orange/Reds, Black, Dark Green are all nice.

Photo: I'll provide, or something fitting character description.

Size: Any size fitting rules. Maybe leave some room for a line or two of text.

Photo: Optional: Chrysanthemum logo, and Orchid or Hachiman ships.

May the best signature win! (and all the others still get praised too.)

I made a little work on your sig. I am new sig maker. it of course looks a lot like angelz sig. i have also put up a space background. it will better on my opinion. i can add your char pic above the name. And i also can use some tech brushes if you want but you will have to wait since it has to be done a darker background.

I will do another sig for you as well since this is too simple for 50 mils. Maybe a sig with buttons. tell me if you are interested in my work and give me feedback if you like this sig.

Holy crap that was quick.

Thank you to all of you, lets go down the list:

Angelz and Narendran, I do love the lettering and composition of it, and I love that background Angelz, but both of them are a bit too bright and happy. I did say the character was nice/friendly so I think I threw you off with that maybe. Oh and the yellow is a bit too much, even though it is in the GC logo.

Crusader, oh man... great choices all around, the colors are wonderful (if a bit monotonous), the placement is a maybe placed apart too much? It also doesn't really flow quite how I wanted it to.

Evangelist: Wow, just freaking wow. Both of those drawn aspects are beautiful! Nearly perfect for character choice. The print is asian enough to look nice and yet still be super legible and the Kanjii/Kana is spot on. Normally I would have wanted a color change to either Purpleish or a darker orange/red, but the yellow really works here.
If you have it in photoS/gimp, is there any chance you can play with the color a bit and maybe mix things up if it works? Actually, looking at it again, it's perfect. I think I'm satisfied.

I'm going to wait another 24 hours or so and then dish out payments. Right now it goes to Evangelist. With Crusader getting a huge thumbs up as well. Edit: Added character photo list.

Nice Crusader! A little tweaking does a lot, flows much better. Still very girly, which is part of the idea, but try giving it a tint of purple/violet instead of pink-y and see what comes out? You've definitely upped my consideration of yours though. (Oh and maybe go back to the faded edges like before, the shadow is clippy at bottom)
(EDIT: I have an idea, if I don't pick yours for the final one Crusader, I might use it for a transmission bar later, so don't toss it out! >.<)

Oh and Evangelist, did the Orchid on the right look silly right side up or? It look like I'd be crashing to the ground! Heh
