Official Communique by Princess Arielle DeFrance To Gallic Kingdom - Korolia - 07-10-2010 Greetings, people of Gallic Kingdom. Seven months ago, terrorists gathered and mounted an unprecedented attack against a vessel of the Royal Navy, claiming the lives of nearly a hundred of our finest sailors. This tragedy occurred aboard my own vessel, and had for target, my own person, your princess. The incident has regrettably forced me to withdraw myself from the public light for undetermined amount of time, and for this I regret that the people of Gallia had to be kept in the shadows as to my situation. It is with relief that I am today announcing my full return back to you, people of this kingdom after such a long period of absence. I understand that many of you remain still puzzled as to what exactly happened seven months ago. For many of you, rumors have circulated that I have been missing, kidnapped, or even killed. As to the events that lead to my disappearance, even more of a mystery. It is then I believe, appropriate as my duty to present to you all of what happened this fateful night. -- The fact I am now capable to present myself today to the public eyes is in great part thanks to the Royal Navy Criminal Investigation Division, which have after months of labor, finally managed to collaborate all the evidences to recreate virtually all the course of what have happened. I am today honored to put their work today up for the public, an homage to our relentless investigators. Near the end of the month of December, assassins were introduced inside my flagship, disguised as navy engineering inspectors. While on board, they managed to sabotage my flagship, cutting all power to the ship and nearly initiating a nuclear disaster. After which point, the saboteurs moved from the lower engineering decks up toward the deck in the hope to intercept myself and my closest entourage, murdering dozens of the ship's crew. Confusion provoked by the massive failure of the life system caused the dispersion of my own group of survivors, at which point, it is believed the assassins murdered one of my assistant, mistaking it for my person. I was safely evacuated within minutes of the sabotage thanks to the high professionalism and dedication of my crew. Through the review of security footage only retrieved recently among debris, we have now confirmed that the assassins escaped by a secondary emergency hangar. Due to the confusion and the lack of communication network available during the crisis, the men weren't intercepted. The Imperatrice was presumed lost as its reactors became too unstable to perform any repair upon, as the rest of the crew. This loss has ever since been investigated as a classified affair due to the sensitive nature of the incident, and because it is an unprecedented breach in our kingdom's state security procedures. -- The result of this investigation has managed to round up most of the suspected perpetrators of this crime, composed of defectors, traitors to the crown and mercenaries. The culprits behind this operation remains unknown, but rest assured the Criminal Investigation Division will continue investigations.
