The story of Orion - Gentle - 11-05-2007
Orion was named after a constellation rumoured to be seen on the skies of the old earth said to represent a hunter. Orions who's real name is Gustav Holst was born to a rich trading family who were integral in the establishment of the republican trading fleet. Orion grew up in a sheltered city on planet Hamburg with his elder brother Heinrich.
Heinrich became an active member of the rheinland police force and soon became a well heeled officer who commanded a wing of police special operatives. Orion was inspired by his brother and with help from hs parents began training with a mercenary crew who would teach him the rudimentary flying skills required to become a competent pilot. During this time a conflict between the republican fleet and the unioners in bering escalated due to an accident beyond the control of the republicans. Orions brother was called to deal with the uprising in Hamburg. Ambushed in Bering in the asteroid field near a base named Pacifica Heinrich and his wing were annihilated by the murderous Unioner despite heroically standing to the last man.
Orion despite his brothers recognition with medals of bravery and honour was not satisfied. His bitterness developed and matured into a hatred of the unioners unsurpassed by anyone in Rheinland. Orion grew and developed as a pilot and made it his mission to seek revenge on all unioners. Orion left his mercenary crew for a long period of time and hunted unioners on a solo basis so as not to involve people who could be harmed by his activities. After a few years of systematically obliterating all lone flying unioners he realised that he would never satisfy his cravings for revenge on his own. So began his rise within the trading operations around Rheinland.
Orion established a trading operation to begin funding the startup of a special security wing. Using his ties in the republican fleet Orion was recognised by the CEO Mr Cummings as a potentially lethal addition to his expanding security division. Orion is now palced as the most senior security officer within the RepEx fleet and carries out his duties against the unioner with particular ferocity.
"Shall ye be given the chance to repent for your sins. No. I will serve punishment against you and when I find your pod in space I will fall upon it and bring you aboard for the torture you clearly deserve.
