FL on a fullHD monitor - mef - 08-11-2010

Hello friends,

I just bought a fullHD monitor, 21.5 inch and fonts in FL are looking like crap, too big:

Can something be done to change this or I have to stick with it?

Thanks,

Your installation of Freelancer is corrupt. It hasn't installed the correct fonts.

Thanks, I will try to reinstall the game and mod.

Ok, I did install again Freelancer and flmm. BUT, when I try to install the mod I get this error:

http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/5598/16160179.png

What is different from the previous installation is the OS, now is on 64bit (with windows7 32 bit I had no issue).
I have admin rights on the user, I tried to re-copy the mod again but the same thing.
If I do try the game with this error, game starts but I can't see any server on internet, firewall is off.

Any idea?
Please help me.

I think the problem is that I don't get any update message like I did first time I installed the mod, 2 months ago. I see some differences like startup image without version or movies at the beginning
How can I force an update to the mod. What I downloaded is:

2009_06_09_Discovery485.zip.flmod - 94.182.315 bytes

OK. Problem solved. I explicitly selected "Run as administrator" for FLModManager.exe. Mod installed correctly, when I ran FL, update message came and now I am able to enter the game. Fonts are ok also. :yahoo:

Very good idea to install freelancer to somewhere that ISN'T Program files, if you're using Vista/Windows 7 (Which it appears that you are).

It solves a fair few issues that arise.

I have mine installed just to my Documents folder, but wherever is good.:P

Or just allow all access to the folder FL is in.

Yeah, Win 7 automaticly makes Program Files locked down. You can't edit nothing, and do nothing. It sucks.

I install everything elsewhere.
