My friend and I were happily seeing the sights of the Taus when we stopped by Freeport 6, when all of a sudden we were attacked by a mad miner...

Now even in Gallia, we have heard rumors of the legendary no fire bases of the Zoners....and yet when we come there, we are not protected by it...not even your own Sirians adhere to it. I must say I am sorely disappointed in the ways of your Freeports. It seems during my next scenic voyages, the safeties on my guns must be turned off.

I'm sorry to have to intercept this transmission, however, it appears the miner in question is one that belongs to my organization. Currently, the ICMG has many things to deal with, but I'll speak to the pilot personally as soon as I'm free. If you require, the ICMG can also pay for any damages caused. As you may know the LaBrise are no more than common pirates praying off the hard workers of the taus, and thus an enemy of the ICMG.

I am fully aware of the Freeport NFZ rules, and the fight did NOT begin at the Freeport. after the LaBrise Destroyed a ship approximately 8.7k away from Freeport 6, I set my weapons free at a distance of about 7.4k away from Freeport 6. Then the LaBrise|Fromage and another corse ship went within the NFZ AFTER the fight broke out.

as you can see here, the LaBrise only fled to the NFZ while the fight was already going on.

Also, I do not recall a ship being present when you attacked us, my friend who was traveling with me at the time can also vouch for that, as well as the various Zoners upon the Freeport. And it would also seem that your IFF scanner has you declared Hostile to the Freeport....interesting. Perhaps the Zoners have remembered your indiscretion and have banned you from the Freeport. In fact, I am surprised that you even made it that close to the Freeport without some form of retaliation from the peaceful but powerful Zoner presence.




I hope such an action never occurs again, and that such a misunderstanding never comes to fruition again.

I was well out of range of the free port. Also, he fired upon my friend first, as you can see in your own Chat Log. In our own defense, we were forced to neutralize the trader. No doubt he was desperate and dangerous, for when we scanned his hull, we discovered it was packed with a life form the Zoners had called Giain Wildlife. Apparently the Kusarian greatly desire it, but was deemed illegal.

In short...I defended myself...

Now, unless you are a Zoner, or Secretary David Grigori with my reimbursement, I would appreciate it if every miner in the Taus would stop interrupting a message clearly not addressed to them. Thank you..
