Was India part of the Alliance or the Coalition?

India - Paper_Plane - 08-22-2010

They were block-free during the cold war, some communist aspects in some of their government for some time, but definately remáining closer to britain than to the soviet union. In any case they were very far from communist china (wars and all).

You can still RP an indian whose forefathers came over as restaurant owners on the Liberty, Bretonian, or Rheinalnd sleeper ships in any case.

No india didnt.. Since I am an Indian I will say no because it is a peaceful country..

India - Primitive - 08-22-2010

First thing who knows if India even exited in the "Freelancer war time"

@Paper_Plane

Don't mix communism with cold war..and don't consider communism = Russia cause it's 2 complete different things

If your saying communism wasn't involved during the cold war, you got some learning to do.

But I'm not going to argue about this here in this topic so that's all I'm saying 'bout that.

I'm not saying it wasn't I'm saying communism =/= cold war that's it

It's like I say USA = Capitalism

Which is a whole another subject..as you've stated.

OT: Still..India and FL...your having a too subjective approach for a game mixing it up with your country

India Is a PeaceFull country , Since Iam an Indian iwll tell that None Of The Indians were Picked up in any of the Sleeper Ship So the Great Indian's and their Culture and ways were Destroyed:angry2:

India and China currently, as in present times, do not get along as well as they could.

They are two large countries, both with economies rising to dominate the world, accompanied by military's that equal that.

I would say India stayed neutral.

Why?
I don't remember them being mentioned in Starlancer, which suggests they didn't play an important role in the Great War. They would be too strong to defeat without huge losses on the attackers side. So it's doubtful China swallowed them up before the war.

This in its self can be an issue when faced with highly militarised and very aggressive countries such as the Coalition. So when the Coalition took over Earth, India would either have been annexed, or the population would have fled to Alliance bases in the outer Solar System.

So yeah, in the Alliance-Coalition war, there was no middle ground, if you stayed on Earth you became part of the Coalition, and if you fled, the only places to flee to would be Alliance bases.

And given that there wasn't really a mention of India in Starlancer or Freelancer lore, I would say they were most likely annexed by the Coalition when they conquered Earth (which is most likely as a result of the SL/FL dev ignorance in my opinion).

And I 100% agree we are capitalists, but nonetheless on topic..anything could've happened with India, but being peaceful or something we just don't know. But we could imagine.
