Mouse sensitivity value - zcout - 08-22-2010

Hello,

my friend's just installed the FL and he's got a problem: his cursor is as fast as he can't even modify it's sensitivity in the game options. We've been looking around the game files and also the registry, but no luck so far. Does anyone know how to modify the in-game mouse sensitivity manually? Thanks for any help..

Mouse related settings can also be adjusted from the Control Panel, if you have Windows as your operating system.

He can't modify the sensitivity in the game options because it's too fast. We need to find where the sensitivity value is stored physically.. and then try to change it..

The system's mouse configuration doesn't seem take in-game effect. And yes, Windows.

Go to "My Documents/My Games/Freelancer"
Look for the "PerfOptions" file.
Open it, it should look similar to this(it's longer but i posted just the important stuff):

Quote:[PerfVersion]
version=5
SkipMachineWarnings=FALSE

[PerfCount]
count=36

[PerfOptions]
mouse_speed = 0.50 ----This is what you need to change.
gamma_ramp = 0.30
DitherControl = 1.00
MipFilterControlCallback = 0.00
TurnSensitivity = 0.00

I guess decreasing it to 0.30 should have quite an effect.

If this doesn't help try to reduce the dpi settings of your mouse driver or try to use the generic mouse driver by Windows (that's what i need to do)
