I play this game for like 6 months now. It's very addicting and fun. Almost every week updates, since it's still in Alpha. But it's already popular and loved by many people.

There are Day - Night cycles, at night you have monsters coming after you: Creepers, exploding green, four legged things; Skeletons, shoot arrows (dangerous); Zombies, trying to kill you and Spiders! Yes, giant spiders, which can also jump.
At day and also night you can encounter friendly mobs: Pigs, can be killed for food; Cows, can be killed and gotten leather from, which can be used for many armor types; Chicken, gives feathers with which you can make arrows and Sheep, give wool, useless at the moment, but you can make paintings out of wool combined with sticks..
There are also different types of plants: Trees (ofcourse:)), which can be chopped down for wood; Cacti, hurts you if you come too close.
AND MANY MORE. So try it out! It's a very fun game!
It costs 10€, but when it hits beta it's 20€ so get it fast if you want it!:)

It is absolutely awesome. The first time I walked out of the spawn place on WoM: SMP - Low Grass server, i shat brix Q_Q
Awesome game, I remember seeing all the hotels the people had built and i was astonished how they built them using only blocks. Amazingly awesomesauce game.

If you want to build things, then you can play Minecraft Classic, which was named creative. If you want to kill monsters and stuff you need to buy the game, which is not expensive at all.:cool:And I can tell you it's totally worht it!.
There are also dozens of texture packs on the minecraft forums.
