Getting a ship from a model in game. - Disparagess - 09-02-2010

Ok. I'm going to start trying to mod a ship ingame, though I'm not exactly sure how.

Could someone post me a step 1 to step whatever as to what exactly to do if I want to make a model and get it ingame? 5yearold speech for this noob too.

1. make your model
2. post it here
3. listen to the constructive feedback/ignore the trolls/baste yourself in the warm glow of admiration
4. edit ship design
5. repeat steps 2-3-4 until no more feedback.
6. wait for 4.87

helpful.....NOT.

Will try and find some sort of tutorial and put linky in this post.

EDIT: Found a tutorial on ship building. It's in PDF format, you'll need Acrobat Reader to see it. Sorry.

This comes from "Lancer's Reactor" and it's written by a guy called 'Drizzt'.

I downloaded it, then uploaded it to my webspace, so you wouldn't have to register at Lancer's to get to it.

Hopefully this will be of some use to you, I haven't looked at it yet, so who knows.

I was under the impression he already knew how to model, and needed to know the process that gets the model into the game.
asking the devs/modellers (usually the same people) right now for a tutorial on milkshape will receive short shrift, as they are *supposed* to be finishing off 4.86 in time for summer. *coughs*
