Need to Fix - RickJames - 11-24-2007

I need to seriously fix a lot of factions on my list.

2 Big examples. I'm Corsair and I am full green with Outcasts and most House Navy/Police/Security.

I'll be flying around Sirus shooting NPC's to try and fix this.

If I see a player on my scanner I'll be stopping and attempting to leave.

If anyone wishes to RP when I'm on my trip, feel free. If you want to blow me up, feel free. Otherwise I'll be hitting cruise and leaving the area. I wont be interacting with any players unless they choose the option.

I wont be docking with bases I should be enemies with.

Just wanted to post this so if any folks do notice me it might help in cutting down the OMG thats SO OORP.

Hoping I can sort it all out in a day or 2. Then I'll be returning to Omicron space.

You'll never get it all completely fixed... Killing Outcasts will help make the unlawfuls hostile to you, but it'll increase your rep with many lawful factions. The reverse is also true. Impossible to get it right, and impossible to keep it that way.

Awhile back I suggested that equipping a faction-specific ID should automatically adjust your reputation to make you fully red with any factions that are hostile to that faction (but still make you work to get friendly with those who should be friendly). Anyone know if this is even possible, or does it go against the hardcoding?

MAJOR EDIT:

Actually, I think the easiest thing would be for me to dock with bases I am suppose to be friendly with. The problem being. If I shoot a ton of Navy/Police/Security house ships..its going to increase my rep with a bunch of factions it should not. If I blow up a ton of Outcast ships to go from full green to red...I'm going to be back at green with Navy/Police/Security.

If I dock and Accept/Abort missions, I think it only affects that one faction..maybe.

I'll wait till I get some advice. If you have any please let me know. Particularly admins on what I can and cannot do in trying to fix my factions.

If I could get 1 or 2 days of grace to fix this I would appreciate it. I'd be doing it late my time..which normally means less than 20 players on the server.

hahah Actually now that I think about it. I have seen sanction threads were an admin set all the factions correctly to punish folks who dock at bases that should be enemies.

Would it be possible for an admin to set mine correctly?

Mucho Gracias

If your going to PO specific factions go to the waypoint and fly back to the base. When the mission is over you will lose 1 whole unit of rep with said faction. Faster than accept and abort in my opinion.
