Freeport 9 and Yaren - Linkus - 09-18-2010
As a quick note, both of these stations have come under attack by large, varied forces.
Freeport 9 is apparantly damaged inRP.
Yaren is fine.
The difference?
Seems the Yaren thread was simply locked.
Corsairs attack Zoners. Zoners side with Outcasts. Corsairs get Omega stuff, lose Omicron stuff. Sensible considering the complete deadlock things are in. Yes?
So, what's the real difference?
Should Yaren not be as damaged as Freeport 9?

The difference was that the side which owned the Freeport-9 decided for themselves the outcome of it.
Whilst the side which owned Yaren didn't decide anything regarding it's outcome.
How you which to interpretate those facts are up to you. I'm not going to share my opinion because it will get this thread locked.

Difference is the Zoner official faction SAID FP9 was damaged.
A bunch of Lane Hackers and indie Order decided to get revenge and attack Npcs and say they destroyed Yaren.

this logic shall be treasured for the future - when players claim to be able to destroy a station due to sheer force
but when change can really only happen when the OWNING faction decides it can get damaged - so shall it be.

I said those are the facts, and that interpretation is up to the individual himself/herself.

You cannot damage or destroy an installation without the owning faction agreeing upon that.
I doubt you will see the 'Sairs ever agreeing on such. Reasons we do not want to discuss I think.

The station can be damaged\destroyed only with some kind of agreement. In other way i'm going to get on legate in early morning and went to bretonia and then post that all stations where destroyed.
