Due to limited hosting space, I had to remove all image attachments from the board. I apologize if anyone has lost important imaged, but the measure is necessary. It was posted long ago that forum attachments cannot be considered a reliable file storage, and can be deleted from time to time, so it shouldn't come as a surprise.
The total upload size will now be limited to 50 megs. However, it seems that upload limits don't work exactly like they should, and cleanings will have to be done to ensure that file space is OK. I suggest to store images on external hosts - or store them on local PCs and re-attach when necessary.

Attachments were cleared again.
I removed .png from post attachment types, since the format was usually used to post small hi-quality images that have large size. Unfortunately, we can't allow this.
Again reminding that using external file hosts is very, very preferable.

Could you please warn us before wipes are preformed so that we can find other homes for the images? I'm not whining as I understand the reasoning but a little "heads up" would be nice.

Why not just disable attachments entirely? At least then people won't waste bandwidth/harddrive space uploading on to the forums, and will just go to some external host to begin with. Just an idea really.

Ditto. If they're just going to be wiped eventually, why have them? Some of the images that get cleared with the wipes could have been very useful (especially those in the development forum).

And to add, if people give the complaint "they don't know where to look to upload", I'll be happy to write a tutorial with about 20+ websites and how to use em, not hard really.

got any tutorial of a place to host nice little flash swf files? and what are the php coding needed to make 'em show on a forum? because imageshack with only 1.5mb isnt large enough for heavier swf...

And the SWF file extension is blocked on the forums, and on most really. Sorry, but the image hoster does support 2mb SWF files.

Xing, little advice.... It's quite antisocial putting a >1.5m flash file in a forum thread, which everyone's browser will be forced to download and display. Those without Firefox & Flashblock that is:P
