Smuggler ID is pretty much just a 'shady' Trader ID with a different shipset.

Smugglers don't always work for Unlawful Factions.
- A Blockade Runner who takes goods from Liberty into Rheinland is considered a Smuggler as well, and although he's breaking Liberty Laws, but is supporting Rheinland Government, so is considered Lawful in that house.
- But still, a Smuggler who only deals with unlawful factions and is a known Smuggler to lawful forces, will have to adjust his reps so the NPCs of that lawful faction shoot him too, so that would show his reputation with said faction.
So, Smuggler ID is much like Freelancer or Merc IDs, and the reputation of each smuggler might be something totally different from another one, and according to Rule 6.10, It's -Your- Responsibility to make sure your Character's Rep Sheet reflects your standing with every factions.- But still, a Smuggler who only deals with unlawful factions and is a known Smuggler to lawful forces, will have to adjust his reps so the NPCs of that lawful faction shoot him too, so that would show his reputation with said faction.
