Year 817. The metal parts that lock the docking ring of Erie start moving. Three Rhino freighters begin their landing procedures. The scan reveals they carry ship building materials. On one of the landing pads on Erie, a young girl awaits them with three hovertransports. A crew member of one of the transports approaches the young girl and asks her something. She makes a sign to one of the drivers of the hovertransports. They discuss a bit and then pay the Rhino crew member. Both teams start unloading the components from the ships and load them on the land transports while the girl supervises all their moves.
An LPI officer approaches the workers and the girl comes to discuss with him. A bit confused, he goes away. The unloading is done. The girl gets in one of the transports and they start moving. Finally, they got a deserted hangar, outside of the city. Four men with rifles get down from the first transport. Each of them hides around the hangar. The rest of the men and women, including the young girl, start unloading the ship parts. When the unloading is done, four more men exit the hangar leaving only the young girl and two more guys there.
Inside, there is no time to rest. They start assembling the ship parts. The young girl's name is Yotu Shimata. Originating from Kusari, she came to Liberty 20 years ago. Since her mother died, she joined a group that wants the Liberty out of Pennsylvania. They started with small scale protest demonstrations but slowly they evolved to terrorist acts. Shimata became leader of this group and she knew that she was in great danger. Her plan was to get away from Liberty, change her identity and start a new life. That's why she was planning this last hit. Three fighters built on Erie were about to attack some Navy patrols. She hoped that she will be able to flee from the fight.
After two weeks, the fighters were ready. Weapons were not yet attached and they got a green light to test them in open space. They did everything possible to make them look legit but an LPI patrol halted them and commenced a cargo scan. They found that some components were not registered and they wanted to take them in for interrogation. With no weapons they couldn't do anything except running. Shimata managed to get to the California jump hole and escaped.
This is where her real story starts. With little money and an unarmored ship, she started to explore the system and found some ship wrecks. She looted the wrecks and moved on. The idea was to get to Coronado in one piece. To do that she needed to avoid LPI and Navy patrols. She knew about the jump holes and she managed to avoid the gates. When she got to Cortez, a Navy patrol intercepted her and opened fire. She managed to dodge the fire and salvation came from a group of rogues that appeared from no where and engaged the navy. A big fight started and Shimata managed to get away undetected. Soon, she arrived to Barrier Gate Station, in Coronado. With the money she got from the loot, she managed to bribe some guys and her reputation with most of the factions was in order. It was the time to decide what to do next. She reminded her childhood dream of exploring the entire Sirius sector.
