The mother of all questions - Dashiell - 10-11-2010 ok, now that I've got your attention, I actually have a quite standard question. Do you prefer cockpit view or 3rd person view when flying gunboats and up? and why? Somehow, I always fly caps in 1st person. I dunno why... The mother of all questions - Korny - 10-11-2010 Third person for me...The cockpits in caps just don't fit, since they're fighter cockpits. Just doesn't feel right. Also I kinda have a better overview in fights that way. The mother of all questions - Lobster - 10-11-2010 3rd person on all but the libby cruiser (for the fact that this ship is a gun) 3rd person gives you a much wider range of view. The mother of all questions - SeaFalcon - 10-11-2010 1st person in a BS since you'll be able to see more. Otherwise your ship+gunfire fills your screen to much. 3th person in a Cruiser or smaller, since you'll be able to more from the sides and since your turn a lot it's gives you a better overview. The mother of all questions - Valinor - 10-11-2010 ' Wrote:3rd person on all but the libby cruiser (for the fact that this ship is a gun) Indeed, also, while turning in a cruiser, you have the chance to keep your target on sight in 3rd person view, while you can't in the 1st person view.. The mother of all questions - Jansen - 10-11-2010 <strike>The egg was first, where else should that chicken</strike> Wrong mother of all questions... I prefer to fly all of them in 3rd person view, even the Liberty Cruiser... and didnt make any bad experiences so far... The mother of all questions - LegendOfTheWolf - 10-11-2010 Hmmm.... When I'm in fighters 3d view, though when in caps, I go into 1St only when turning.... But when using a siege cruiser, 1st is the way to go for me, I get better shots off . The mother of all questions - Ceoran - 10-12-2010 I'm switching to 1st person mid-fight if it's necessary to see the target/situation because of the camera placement (Sarissa, GRN cruiser...). But generally I prefer 3rd person too, especially if you can't really tell where the front end of your ship is while in 1st person (Sarissa!!!) The mother of all questions - Jongleur - 10-12-2010 Cruiser and above against other cruisers and above: First Person Cruiser and above against GBs, fighters, and bombers: Third Person All others: Thirst Person The mother of all questions - Boss - 10-12-2010 I only use first person to take screenshots of scenery. That and the occasional forward gun potshot. |
