i can't find any info on this and i could have sworn i've seen that i can change this but i can't seem to find it....

you know how when you get your crosshair close to the targets crosshair and it automatically changes your guns line of fire to shoot at the ship? isn't there a way to turn that off?

it messes me up some times....i'll be aiming at the crosshairs of an incoming ship but if there is one kinda close to it and in front of it my fire will automatically start going after the other ship.

i got to thinking and i'm wondering if this messes up my aim? especially when i'm in full dogfight mode in my fighter.

i hope i explained that well enough

It's more annoying if you blow up a friendly house military light fighter because the crosshair jumps on it, and have a battleship and two cruisers on your back all of a sudden.

I was mining silver when i was in my rhino & it was funny to watch how all my turret fire would fire all around a rock which was almost point blank range & still fail to hit it until after all weapon energy had depleted leaving only about 3 turrets firing.

Is there a way to stop the guns from firing only when the cursor on the target? then setting fighter guns to 0 movement and force players actually lead the target, giving more maneuverable fighters an advantage. this would also require a 2nd stationary crosshair set in the center of the hud to be used as a sight.
Or does this still fit into the same problem already mentioned?
