Why im gone - Game Legacy - 10-29-2010

Not that too many know me, but im currently not able to play.
The laptop i play Freelancer on, got some temporary problems.

Anyway, i might ask if i can buy one of those old gamer puters theyve got at the
"Harry Cafe" for a few bucks. They are never used, and about as old as Freelancer itself.

Im not gone for long. (I will still lurk in the forums >.>)

Cya :P

PS: If i have a good old gamer PC, can i possibly upgrade it piece by piece?

EDIT; If this is in the wrong section, please be kind and correct me

Wrong section, who are you? Why you even making a leaving thread when you have been here less than a month, who are you again?

Sorry to hear that. Can't say that I know you but you have my sympathy for the broken laptop.

I popped in because I noticed your question concerning that old PC you are looking at. If the PC was made on or near the date of the release of the original Freelancer then I'm afraid upgrading it piece by piece to modernize it will result in a brand new PC anways. What you put into your PC for upgrading will depend heavily your motherboard, your powersupply (and it connections) as well as the cable technology used for your data devices (IDE or SATA these days). If the PC your looking at is as old as it sounds you'll have a bit of difficulty in finding any pieces to upgrade it still in the market as the technology is outdated and no longer manufactured. If you buy an old PC for old games keep it as a PC for old games and buy yourself a modern one. I, myself, use more then one PC and this one is only for online gaming and browsing (i.e: this PC is the one I risk getting viruses with as I don't have anything important on it and will format it at a moments notice.).

Well, can you put your "old" pc specifications to know if it can handle games?

And, for the laptop, sorry to hear that also, but what is it problem?
