I've noticed most law enforcement agencies allow their people to use various civillian craft - does this mean it would be possible (assuming acceptable RP reasons) for say a Liberty navy pilot to fly a Spatial?

It has been done. But a spacial is an easy kill to a VHF or smaller. Big hitbox to target, and slow as a snail.

Check the Tech Chart to see which crafts can be used by which faction. I believe the combination you indicate is indeed legal.

While you can, better get it on LSF or LPI.

Very nearly anyone can use the Spatial.
The Spatial, however, is a deathtrap.

It has some use as a support ship... I have a Corsair one which is actually extremely deadly to larger vessels... But in general it's not a ship to rely on in all situations.

Thanks for the input - I'm familiar with the downsides of a Spatial but I've got a well-equipped one lying around with an ID/IFF I'm a bit bored with and fancied a change. Might give it a go if it's legal.

I have been running a synth Foods one for as long as I have been on the server. They are great fun if flown right.

fighter/bomber fodder
