Personality traits: Proactive agressive. Matt does not simply wait for a crime to happen, he will actively hunt the enemy to ensure that peace and freedom are ensured throughout Liberty. He is also a heavy drinker, however will only drink off shift - and usually to excess. Rumours of a relationship in Matt's life are persisting.

Matt was raised in the Denver Highlands, a majestically beautiful piece of country akin to the ancient lands of Scotland. His father works as an Investment banker for Interspace, Mother works as a Scientist for Ageria.
Matt has a long lost brother, John. They were recently reaquianted through the Navy. Currently Matt hasn't been back on Denver for the last 5 years due to his Navy training and the war with Rheinland.

The purpose of this thread is to create a dynamic and more RP enviroment to my character Matt Smith. Currently, there is a feeling that the LN only ever come on to pew pew stuff and I want to develop my character a bit more than that.

Backstory:
Matt is a duel citizen of Liberty and Bretonia owing to his Mother and Father. He was bullied at school due to his different accent and had to force himself to speak with a Libertonian twang as he grew up. This is evident even today where he compiles his reports using his Libertonian accent to ensure his superiors and fellow officers know what he is saying.
Matt joined the Navy at 16, he graduated around the middle of his class and was accepted to fill an Ensigns post in the Primary fleet. Matt didn't particularly excel at most aspects of his training, scoring just above average marks on everything except Engineering. This was were Matt achieved his best marks. His instructors believed there was potential there, but that it would be better nurtured out of the classroom.
Matt's was first assigned to the LNS-Rhode.Island as it's helmsman, however after a skirmish with the Liberty Rogues, the Rhode Island was heavily damaged and Matt was reassigned to the Missouri's CAP. The Rhode Island was relaunched a month later, before it was destroyed with the loss of all hands in a battle with Rheinland forces above Texas. Matt was distraught at the ship's loss, believing he should have died along with the crew.
Within 3 months of joining the Primary ranks, Matt was promoted to the rank of Sub Lieutenant. His main roles aboard the Missouri are running battle simulations for the rookies, preparing their ships for combat and general administration of the CAP. He was given his own accommodation aboard the Missouri and maintains both his Guardian and Upholder there. Matt also has command over the Palm Springs, a Mammoth freighter in the LN's LLS core. This is stationed at the Norfolk Shipyards.
When he is not on duty either on or off ship, Matt enjoys the comforts of his own room or the ship's Bar/Grill which he often frequents. Following on from his training, Matt has taught himself a lot about Mechanical and Electrical Engineering resulting in his high level of skill as a mechanic. As such, he does all his own repair work in the Missouri's fighter bay. He's very protective over his fighters as, after having too much to drink one night, he passed out while leaving them unlocked. A random junker saw the opportunity and stole some of the tech aboard Matt's Guardian and he's been having navigational trouble ever since.
Rumours persist of a relationship in Matt's life which he will neither confirm nor deny.
