To the Liberty Rogues, from an unlikely source - Vape - 12-07-2010 Comm ID:Commander Matthias Shaw, the Order Subject: Diplomacy Location: CLASSIFIED I realize this is highly unusual for us, as well as yourselves. Given our tenuous to hostile stance with your allies, the Outcasts, due to their relations with the nomads. And the Lane Hackers, however, all three factions, you have provided assistance to us in the past, specifically during the Nomad war (recall the Battle of New York?). What my superiors propose is the possibility of diplomatic neutrality in Liberty between the Order and yourselves. And future diplomatic talks. Hopefully. Our reasoning? The old adage "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" Simple, we share common enemies in the LSF, Liberty Navy, LPI, and the Bounty Hunters Guild. We would turn a blind eye to your outcast companions in Liberty as well in addition to your smuggling of Cardamine and any other morally ambiguous activity along with the occasional assistance in combat, if we are in the area. This would however be rare, as we have a need to maintain secrecy. This merely concerns a certain section of the Order, not the Primary fleet, as they do not operate in liberty much, we however, do. As it is, we do not run into them very often, and I admit, my own part of the Order is grateful for their war with the Corsairs, the scum of Crete are a very real problem for both groups. Also, i realize this is stretching a bit, but we request the ability to use Buffalo for refueling purposes. Please respond quickly, Shaw Out To the Liberty Rogues, from an unlikely source - tansytansey - 12-07-2010 Shaw; My my, it would seem someone forgot to do their research. Isn't that highly embarassing for the Order? Would you like to take a guess where you went wrong? No? Okay, I'll tell you. Number one. We are not allies with the Outcasts, we are business partners. It makes no difference to us how you treat them so long as it doesn't get in the way of our business. And if you get between a Rogue and his profits there will be hell to pay I can assure you. Number two. The Liberty Navy, LSF and LPI are not our enemies. We're crooks, they're doing their job, nothing more, nothing less. We do not hold open hostilities with them, we do not hunt them, we do not fight wars with them. The bounty hunters are a different matter entirely. Much like the Xenos, our general stance is "if they don't bother me, I won't bother them." Bounty Hunters are only a problem when it's their turn to pay the bar tab. Ordinary Bounty Hunters are different to the BHG Core that you wage war against. But you already knew that, didn't you? So, now that we have established that we do not share any common enemies, and therefore are not friends, we can talk business. Or perhaps you are unfamiliar of the Liberty Rogue definition of the word Ally: "What's of use." So, of what use is the Order to us? Eva, out. |::Transmission Terminated::| To the Liberty Rogues, from an unlikely source - Vape - 12-07-2010 Comm ID:Commander Matthias Shaw, the Order Subject: Diplomacy Location: CLASSIFIED Well it would appear that my efforts are in vain, something similar has already been done. I have nothing more to say. Shaw Out |
