The hanger doors of the Colonial One, the Colonial Remnant's diplomatic liner, opened, and a grey-silver shuttle landed inside. The door of the shuttle opened, and out walked an obviously Kusarian man with hardened features, wearing a plain black uniform, black gloves, and combat boots. He carried a strange, black object, shaped like a three-dimensional octagon. He walked to one of the waiting guards. "You know my purpose. I assume you would like to escort me in? After all, I doubt you completely trust me. And with the war so recent, you would be a fool to."
The man gave a half-smile. "After all, pretended diplomacy is so often used for assassination."

Abelard was sitting behind the long table in large congress hall. Entire hall was filled with guards who were standing by the walls, only few feet from each other. Colonial One was moored at Freeport 4. On the left side was Phoenixstorm, Hellfire battlecruiser. Abelard saw it clearly trough the windows.

Large door opened and man in dark uniform entered the room escorted by two guards.
Abelard stood up to meet the visitor.
- Welcome. - said Abelard
- Thank you.
- Please sit down and let us start.

The man sat down, placing the device on the table next to him. He then began speaking.
"As you know, I am Supreme Commander Mori. I believe we've already discussed what will happen if you harm me, or if we attempt to harm you. It wouldn't be pretty, either way. However, that is beyond the point."
The Commander paused to press a button on the top of the device. There was a click, then a hiss of escaping air.
"Of course, procedures can not continue until you can show me proof that the Warhammer has at least been decommissioned. An holo-image, an projected image, an order for decommissioning... anything. Unless you claim this "Admiral" has escaped with it, too?"
The Commander waited for a response.

President looked at Mori with a smile.
- Battlestar Warhammer is lost, Battaglia also. Not even his viper squad knows where he is. He, or his ship are not my concern anymore. However, his squad is currently flying trough Tau system in search for him. Despite the fact that they refused to serve as under our government, we still treat them as our brethren. Too many people have died when we were facing last big threat for man kind, and i am not willing to take anymore unnecessary life's.
I, personally don't know why you push this issue with Battaglia. He isn't part of Colonial Remnant...and i think you are here to negotiate peace with us, and not with Battaglia.
So, to make it very clear...you will not be given any proof of Warhammers destruction, decommissioning or order of it. Why?...simply cause i don't have authority over him or his crew. They are not part of Colonial Remnant. So either we drop that issue...or this will be very short negotiations.

Commander Mori gave a wry smile.
"I apologize... he was, or is, one of our most hated enemies. Even if your story is merely just that - a story - I will accept it until I have reason not to."
Commander Mori frowned. "Do you happen to have the identification code of the wing who supports him? That way we will know who of your kind we should not trust. If not, it is also fine. Meanwhile, I believe we should get into negotiation. I will allow you to begin."

President waved to the man near the door.
- Care for little refreshment before we start? Please, Jack, could you bring us some fruits and water.
President paused until Jack left the room.
- Battaglias supporters wear same designations code as he did. I am sure you have those codes in your database. So...since you approached to me with this peace offer i was thinking how to respond to that. Apart for Freeport here and its safety we don't have much interests here. We never had an issues with Hellfire legion until one of you cruisers interfered in our fight against NovaPG. For months you passed freely by our forces without any problems until that day. On later time, even your battleship was in fight against us in our own home system. I personally ordered for all Hellfire military vessels to be shot on sight after that event.
After that who hell broke lose. Fights near the Freeport, civilians dead....now it is time to put that behind us and try to correct that so future of our children could be safer.
However, in my thoughts about this, i came across few problems. Ours and your alliances...They might get in a way off peace....
Door had opened and Jack entered congress hall bringing water and fruits.
- Please, have some. - President offered to Mori.

"I will pass on the fruits, thank you. I only just ate. But thank you for the water."
Commander Mori took a sip of the water. "I agree that our alliances may be of some issue. However, I know many of those barriers have been removed. As we do not operate with the Outcasts much, I suspect that neutrality, or at least near it, would be acceptable. Particularly as it is unlikely that we will frequently come into contact."
Commander Mori paused and picked up the device again. "By the way... I assume you would not mind if we... disposed of... any of these 'Battaglia Supporters'? We do not forgive intentional, methodical mass-murder of our civilians quickly."

Abelard looked at Mori with more interest...
-Neutrality you say...i believe i can live with that. As for Battagial's supporters...well how you act here in Magellan or in Vespucci is not my concern, but hunt against them in Taus is out of the question. We have enough wars up there as it is.
So this is what i propose and i think this will work for the best.
We go to unfriendly status. We don't shoot on each other unless in self defense. We do help our allies and if our path cross in that efforts we both fight with honor. What are your thought on that plan....naturally we still need to work on details.

Commander Mori nodded. "That is exactly what I was suggesting when I said 'at least close to neutrality'. Of course, we would not bring our wars to your systems. On the other hand, we would not be able to protect you against other Lane Hackers."
"By the way, is there any data you wish to have before sealing our pact? Proof of our claims, perhaps?"

The Commander gives an amused look. "I don't know whether this is your idea of a trap. However, I am amused."
"For if it is, it will completely backfire. And if it is not, then I will be doing you a favor."
With that, he spoke into a communication device. "HFBC Phoenixstorm, this is Supreme Commander Mori. Fire cruise disruption missiles at that Battlestar, and call up the GRCS Goldenflame, as well as all available units in the area. After that, open fire on the Battlestar."
He then picked up the small device, pressing the button again, and causing the same response as before. With that, he walked out the room, in the direction of the hanger.
