I don't have time to work on this myself with how busy I am, but what about adding "Ship Resell Value" to the stat pages of individual ships?
Just a simple idea, nothing too fancy, but it could help when people are thinking about what their next purchase is

I've always thought of game ship resale values as game buy value/2, so it's just a process of adding package price/2 and call it resale value.
I could be wrong though.

All you need to do is sell one ship, calculate the percentage of money was left over to the buy cost, then use that number for the remainder of ships. Give me a calculator and I'll do it.
