Biography: I was born on Planet Leeds 20 years ago. My father was a miner for BMM and was usually gone for days at a time working the fields throughout Bretonia. Back on Leeds, my mother, my brothers and sisters, and I all lived in a cramped apartment rented to us by BMM. Even when my father was away there were still 5 people sharing a 3 room apartment. Not to mention the constant smog outdoors.
At the age of 13 my father started bringing me out on mining trips and taught me how to fly. However, as my presence was against company police, once his bosses found out I was temporarily grounded. In addition to being punished for allowing me to pilot a company ship, my father endured horrid working conditions and incredibly low pay for the amount of mining he did. The job eventually killed him when his ship suffered a complete life support failure when I was 15. Personally, I blame BMM for his death as my father reported that the ship needed an inspection but BMM decided not to spend the money as it would decrease profits.
Determined not to end up like him, I left home at age 17 and took the first transport off-world. I bounced around through most of Sirius taking any sort of work I could find aboard stations and planets. While working in a bar one day, I happened across a Guild Member of the IMG. As he was a miner and I had grown up in a mining family we got to talking. That evening, I learned about the IMG and how well they treat their members. It was at this point that I decided I would join the IMG as mining was the only thing I ever knew and it would be whole lot better than working in bars and factories for the rest of my life.

Outline the Independent Miners Guild goals: The IMG's goals are to provide miners and other members good working conditions and fair compensation for their work as opposed to the corrupt House Corporations.
What can you contribute while inside the Guild ? I grew up with mining and with some practice can get back to being the decent pilot that I was when I was younger. However, I was able to log time in simulators over the past 3 years and also have a good idea of mining operations from going out to the fields with my father.
Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild ? Also, which IMG Department would you like to be part of ? As I mentioned before, mining is the only life I've known, but I want to be treated fairly and not be exploited by any of the House Corporations. I would like to join the Mining Division.

Biography: I was born on Planet Cambridge, son of working class parents. I didn't know my father terribly well, being that he usually was a system away at Douglas Station. He'd come back home occasionally in a foul mood about "lack of security" or complaining about being terribly underpaid for his hard work and the risks he went through. I hadn't seen Douglas Station until recently, and I finally understand what he went through, of course.
He was arrested about five years ago for stealing money; I never was able to hear the full details. I think I remember him repeatedly stating that the only criminals involved in this were his superiors at BMM, but he was sentenced to eighteen years anyway.
Needless to say, now with training in Space Flight and basic economics, I don't want to follow in his footsteps.

Outline the Independent Miners Guild goals: The IMG stands for the workers over the economic interests of the wealthy few. They appear to be summed up by the phrase "People before Profit".
What can you contribute while inside the Guild ? I am not much of a combat pilot, but I am fairly well-versed in business dealing and haggling; my father left several books on the topic back at my Cambridge home. My own personal specialty extends to piloting and being proficient in the logistics of trading and supply management.
Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild ? Also, which IMG Department would you like to be part of ? I wish to join the Guild to reside in an organization that cares about my own welfare rather than merely the amount of profit I can create before I become useless. Regardless, I'll do what I can for everyone within the Guild, should I be accepted. I would like to join the Trading Division.

The lady gives him a nice smile and says: "I'll scedule an apointment so you can have an interview. Can you come back in three days at 11 o clock?
Johan nods and leaves the office in search for temporary accomodations.
Three days later he comes back and checks in at the reception. About 6 minutes past 11 he is allowed to enter an office.
A serious man shakes his hand. Good day mister Bergmann. I am glad you could make it today.
"Have you ever worked for a different company?"
Johan:" Euh yes, I have worked as a miner for a few months at Kruger Mineral and I have done some mining,- and transporting for Daumann."
The man:" I see, so you have never worked for BMM?"
Johan shakes his head.
"Well mister Bergmann, why do you want to work for IMG?"
Johan: "Well you see, after Kruger and Daumann, I felt the house coprorations are held back. I don't want my job to be dependant from any house and what kind of politics they like to run."
"You do realise that even we are independant, to some extend we will always be a little dependant of politics and wars?"
Johan: "Offcourse, but you are much less tied down to one specific house."
" Would you be willing to work in rheinland space, if your contract ever required so?"
Johan:" Even though I would like to go to new places atm, if any required to do so, I would glady work there and put the knowledge I have to good use."
"How familiair are you with the operations of the Independant Mining Guild?"
Johan: "I have basicly always worked in Rheinland, I have studied your company a little and I know you have important oprations in the taus. Other then that, I know you are not tied down to one house."
"So that is all you know? Thats rather dissapointing. That being said, do you have anything else to add?"
Johan:" Well at the risk of being desperate, I would really appreciate it if I got a chance at least. I have a decent workethic. If you set clear goals, I will do my all to accomplish them. I just dont like being held by the hand, by someone who doesn't know what he is doing. I'll work extra hard to reach quota if I feel apreciated. That being said, I also work well in a team and I know when to shut up."
