I am here to apply for a Transport/Trade position at IMG.
right well ill get right to it.
my name is, as you have guessed, James age 25.
I pilot my camara freighter on short, dangerous routes through the front-lines of the developing war.
But im getting ahead of myself, ill start at the begining...
I was born on a luxury liner that was hijacked by pirates and held hostage for money, my mom being 7 months pregnant when she boarded.
since negotiations were slow, the ship was held for nearly 2 years untill all the remaining hostages were either dead or intergrated with the pirates.
when rescue seemed about as close as negotiations being finished, (about as far away as the edge of known space), a privately owned liberty freight train with a gunboat escorting it, happened to find our ship, moored at a pirate base.
the following battle was brief but fierce, as most of the pirates were out pludering loot.
the captain of the train said that he would take several hundred of us to the nearest police base, then return for more, one of my earliest memories is of my father, opting to stay behind while my mother and I escaped on the freight train,.
as we were leaving, more pirates emerged out of hiding in a nearby asteroid feild, where they ambushed the gunboat and recaptured the liner, that was the last enyone saw of that liner for the next 20 years, it has now been converted by the pirates into a battle cruiser of sorts and is used as a pirate base.
I grew up on planet Erie and aspired to become a trader escort, however my skill was not good enough to command a fighter wing and i was kicked from the force (for personal reasons), after which i spent my time freelancing untill recently, when i came into ownership of a heron.
during my time piloting the heron, i was signed up to DSE and it was not untill 2 years ago that is was put on an assignment to asses the outer-reaches for minerals by my superior, I knew it was a setup by the way he avoided me and my questions for the next two weeks, sure enough when we arrived at our destination and docked with a nearby station, my superior tried to kill me in my sleep, he turned out to be infested, infested!!
this kind of thing was only supposed to happen to people on the news.
anyway, I managed to escape in a short distance skimmer with some of my crew and from that day on, we aggreed never to work at a coorperation where you cant see your superiors faces again.
when i heard of IMG's family/community work enviroment, I much desired to join and after working hard, have managed to gain a new trade vessel and am soon to procure an new heron with which i plan to retrace my old trade routes and meet my old buddies.
i think that the IMG is an enviroment where miners, haulers and fighters alike can share their world with others they know they can trust
what i can do for IMG: during my time as a pilot, my skills at running a freighter/train have increased, one of my best selling points (to me anyway) is my running-away-so-i-dont-DIAF skills.
if I were to work for IMG, i would be a transporter maybye part-time fighter, although transporter is all i really want.
my personal reasons for joining are the work inviroment and company of other IMG personel.

OORP: i have been playing freelancer for a long time now and have loved discovery for the longest of all mods, i have not been playing on the 24/7 server that long though, just long enough to start getting into the serious shipping biz where freelancing is becoming unpractical for my game experience.
