The Libertonian Resistance - Niezck - 01-07-2008

Felix Valdar sat in the large, empty board room at Alcatraz Depot. Plates of food and various drinks on the tables before him, a feast laid out by the Alcatraz stewards. He leaned back in his chair and sighed, hoping the silence would not last much longer.

"They'd better get here soon...we have things to discuss...."

He mumbled to himself while looking down at the first peice of paper infront of him This paper contained the names of the five great leaders of the Libertonian Resistance. Commander Mori, Director Moriarty, Commander Norwell, Archon Lohingren and the Supreme Commander of the Union of Gold. His thoughts were soon interuppted as he heard the slow footsteps of an unknown figure approaching.

A tall, clearly Kusarian man walked into the room, flanked by a pair of guards. He was dressed in a black uniform, with typical military rank insignia bars and the like, showing him as extremely high ranking. At his sides, he wore a pair of Kusarian Katanas, which appeared to be the only weapons he had. As his guards walked to the edge of the room, he sat down, placed a small, spherical object on the table, and began to speak.

"Hello, Commander Valdar." The Hellfire Legion Supreme Commander, Commander Mori, began. "An excellent idea. I assume we are awaiting the arrival of the others?"

The Libertonian Resistance - Niezck - 01-07-2008

"Indeed we are, Commander."
"Now then, i kindly ask you to stand down your guards. I have arranged sufficient protection and they will only make the situation worse should violence occur. I have organised a special chamber for personal guards. They will have everything they need and shall be waited on by Alcatraz's finest Stewardesses. They will have a most pleasant time."

At the last few words Valdar gave a slight grin as he faced Commander Mori and then each guard in turn.

"I also ask that you put your swords in our armory. For some, such as the Alcatraz Rogues, they may be intimidating."

A Liberty Rogue appears from a door just behind Commander Mori, he is carrying two ornate lockboxes.

Rogue:"If i may, sir?"

Commander Mori responded. "Hm. Most certainly. However, if you do not mind, I would prefer to place my Katanas in my fighter. Is that acceptable?"

As the guards walked out of the room, he waited for a response.

The Libertonian Resistance - Niezck - 01-07-2008

"Hmm, so be it. GUARD! Place the Commander's Katanas in his fighter please."
Guard: "Sir! Yes, sir!"

The guard carries the Katanas off, placed inside the ornate lockboxes.

"Now then, i believe i told you to bring your own notes and information, correct? Do you have anything to add to the agenda?"

The Libertonian Resistance - Denelo - 01-07-2008

Commander Mori nodded. "Yes. A communications system for our group would be quite good. Not just for the leaders, mind you, but a single channel, where members of each separate group, army, or in general, member organization, can make reports to the Resistance as a whole. These would not be reports of organization missions, but rather, of battles and such progresses that affect the entire Resistance and are not confidential or some such thing. You see? Of course, the Legion would be glad to host this if you wish, as we have a good position from which to do it in Vespucci, but if you have another idea, by all means, tell us... or me, at the moment, it seems."

The Libertonian Resistance - Niezck - 01-08-2008

"Indeed, this would be a splendid idea. Could the Legion arrange this as i have a hundred and one other things to do?"
"Now then, it appears the others are not able to arrive and so i hereby call the close of this session of the Libertonian Resistance unless, of course, you wish to discuss other matters first?"

The Libertonian Resistance - Moriarty - 01-15-2008

Just as the two warriors were standing up from their chairs to leave the council chamber, Moriarty stepped out of the darkness of the corner where he had been standing.

Both men sharply drew in their breath and tensed, reaching for their sidearms, before they recognized the enigmatic leader of The Lane Hackers.

"It appears that my security personnel need a refresher course in clearing a room", muttered Valdar.

Moriarty smiled ever so slightly. "Your men rely too heavily on their equipment, instead of their instincts, Valdar. I suggest providing them with standard four-legged detection equipment rather than those gadgets they use. The upkeep will be more costly, but the canine nose is not so easily defeated by even Lane Hacker distortion field emitters."

Valdar raised an eyebrow. "Won't you join us?" he said, as he gestured to an empty chair.
"I prefer to stand if you don't mind, and besides, the most important delegates have not yet arrived."

Valdar's brows drew together. "The Reapers of Sirius and Union of Gold have been unavoidably delayed. Perhaps the three of us can make some progress in any case."
"I speak of The Blue Lotus Syndicate"
, Moriarty said.

Valdar laughed ever so slightly. "And WHY would they be so important? They are not warriors, and we are here to discuss military strategy aimed to bring down that vile Liberty regime!"

Moriarty turned his icy gaze towards Mori for several seconds before answering.

"We are here to discuss victory over the corrupt influences controlling the Liberty Colony, not to plan monuments to our own future glory. That victory can never be achieved through the ham-fisted tactics of the saber. To slice out the corruption and free the purity of our fellow citizens from the vile disease of the commercial-militaristic complex we must use the deft parry and riposte of the dagger and epee."

Mori and Valdar turned to each other and traded a look as if to say, "Those rumors of Moriarty's madness may not be so unfounded after all."

Moriarty continued, "We shall begin with a pinprick that those corrupt hooligans barely feel at first, then drive in the point until we pierce the very heart of the corruption! We shall be the blade and The Blue Lotus Syndicate shall be the poisoned point. Cardamine is the key to bringing down the Liberty Establishment, and The Blue Lotus Syndicate is the key to Cardamine. Once they arrive, you shall see for yourself the full measure of my plan."

The Libertonian Resistance - Praetyre - 01-16-2008

In the middle of the board room, a tiny transmittor about the size of a grain of sand spat out a resounding, distorted voice in all directions, in well practiced English;
"Greetings to all representatives of the Liberty Rogues, Lane Hackers, Mollys and the diverse individuals making up the noble Hellfire Legion. And a special greeting to our brothers in the Reapers of Sirius. It is my pleasure, as Grand Master of the Blue Lotus Syndicate, to greet you.

I apologize if I have so rudely interrupted your doubtlessly occuring negotiations, but I am informed from my contacts that the representative of the Lane Hackers wishes to enlist the support of my organization.

The Syndicate, as you may already know, is the largest cardamine cartel in all of Sirius. We have a near total monopoly on Kusari dealership, and a large chunk of every other market, up to and including those of independent, Nomad and Edge worlds.

If the leader of the Lane Hackers, the man known as Moriarty, indeed has requested the assistance of the Syndicate in the gutting of the foul beast which is Liberty, we shall be more than pleased to offer our services in what can only be described as a mix between mercy killing and the execution of a dung beetle.

The Syndicate's smuggling flagship, the recently commisioned OSS Fuentes, will be more than happy to provide her services in your noble endeavour. As I speak, hundreds of tons of Cardamine are being loaded and processed every minute of every day in the numerous facilities of the Syndicate.

A delegate may also be sent to handle the administration of this operation. Underboss Velez, one of my most trusted men, and if all goes well, I have heard rumours that one of my own capos is so proficient in the ways of the Syndicate as to merit a promotion into the higher ranks of the Syndicate. Irregardless, I hope to see you soon. Por gloria la Malta, death to Ageira, death to Liberty, freedom to Dublin, and all and sundry salutations said in good health and intention for your safe passage in this foul den of sin and inequity."
