The Intelligence Memoirs. - n00bl3t - 01-30-2011

//This is closed Wedjat RP. Even those in the Wedjat should ask first before posting. Currently allowed: Critius and sadtranslation.

X had been sitting in his room all day. The desk in front of him had a jug of water, a glass, and intercomm and a report. Everything else which usually adorned it was gone. Removed to make space for the endless torrents of paper he had to sift through.

He had been tirrlessly pouring through the volumes of data sent to him by one of his favourite agents in The Order, and one of the Wedjat agents in deep enemy territory. One which he trusted with his life, and with knowledge on all his operations.

He had sorted through the most important bits, and was making a much shorter report which summarised all the data into something much easier to digest.

"Admiral, we have a Corporal requesting an audience. A Micheal Simpson. He's representing a crew with a broken ship in Zoner space." X blinked at the intercomm. He wondered why the Combat Division was not dealing with him.

"Perhaps too busy? Probably think I sit here all day and do nothing." X sighed. Intelligence would never be completely understood by an outsider.

"Send him in whenever he is ready." X knew the Captain may take some time. The security for his office was not right outside and people would take some time to physically arrive at his office.

He tidied up his summarised report while he waited for the Corporal.

Simpson quietly entered the room, his presence not noticed by the Admiral until he dropped a small package on the desk.

"The 30th|CV-Montu broke down during a jump, inside you will find detailed explanations of the repairs needed," he announced in a emotionless voice, "I believe the 30th is now under you control?"

He glanced down at some of the papers on the Admiral's desk, they looked to be routine reports. This may have been why the Admiral looked at him funny when he started to chuckle at them.

"Just reminded me of a insane idea our former Captain was going on about, oh well Wilson thought it had some merit behind it," with that Simpson turned and attempted to leave.

X's thought pattern was rudely interrupted by a package dropped on his table.

He was too engrossed in his thoughts to be pre-occupied by the physical world. His security was not at risk however, with his faithful four also in the room.

As he looked at the package on his table, surveying it with his eyes, he heard a sliver of how the 30th has been appropriated under the command of the Wedjat. A little light bulb went off in his head as to why this was coming to him rather than the Combat Division.

X looked up to find the Corporal chuckle, his previously emotionless demeanour replaced. The Corporal then turned around and looked as if he was leaving.

"Corporal, I think you would like to have a drink. Please, have a seat." X stood up and motioned.

"I think you have an idea that you would like to share with me, but first, you should read this little report." The Spymaster's face had a hidden grin behind it.

Simpson stopped and sat in front of the Admiral, he had been looking forward to returning to his own quarters after being gone so long. Regardless he sat and acted in a jovial manner as he began skimming through a report on Gallia.

Limited information about outsiders, vengeful for past grievances, and no known nomadic interaction all seemed to stick out to him. It was all standard for a report, yet he couldn't help thinking of the plan his captain and Critius has joked around with back in the Omegas. Back then it had seemed silly, because back then the plan was silly. Dressing up as nomads and getting Gallia to turn its seemingly invincible fleet on them it retaliation, but here he was contemplating it once more as he skimmed through the report.

Could the plan actually be worth a try, he thought out loud. He then began to explain to the Admiral, '€œIt was back in Omega 49, while we were waiting for the ship'€™s damage report to come in; Critius was joking about a plan to impersonate the wilde and attack Gallia.'€

Simpson'€™s eyes started to sparkle slightly as the more he thought about the more it seemed like it could work. Gallia'€™s limited knowledge of the nomads and order, a powerful fleet, and their revenge on past grievances could all work for them. Simpson continued his explaination, '€œWe would procure a couple of Rheinland fighters and began launching raids on Gallia'€™s ships in an effort to get Gallia to retaliate on Das Wilde, or even the Nomads themselves. Meanwhile the order could begin spreading the knowledge of nomads around to gain allies among the'€¦'€ He was interrupted as a security officer place a drink in front of him.

The Spymaster had sat down whilst the Corporal poured over the report. X could hear the whirring and humming of the Corporal's mind whilst he read.

"Your drink has arrived." X stated it simply. It was of no importance. Both men's thirst could not be quenched by any of the drinks on offer.

"This plan you make reference too, I have heard variations of it." X leaned back in his chair. "From the same source the raw data was obtained from. It suggests a False Flag Operation against Kusari, so we can even the houses military might, and then nudge into an alliance between Kusari and Bretonia. Of course, peace in Sirius is a secondary goal for our organisation. Eradication of the nomads and the infected is paramount."

X poured himself a glass of water from his jug. It was just above freezing, as usual. He then drained the glass. Little beads of water flowed down the glass, having been formed as part of the condensation from such cold water being poured into a warmer container.

"Corporal, I need to know how detailed your Captain's and your plan came to be and what I will need to make it work." X surveyed Corporal Micheal Simpson steadily awaiting an answer.

Micheal Simpson finished a long drink of water and set his glass down. He looked over the file one last time before explaining the plan.

"The plan is a false flag operation to get Gallia into the war against nomads. It would require us to take control of Rheinland fighters acting as Das Wilde, and begin to attack the GRN," Simpson began.

"The first part of the plan should be simple, we would need to take control of a small squadron of Rheinland ided fighters, with Rheinland equipment. Making a group of military grade crafts vanish may be a little hard, so we were considering the X4TS Rheinland Tigershark. They are Rheinland civilian crafts that should have the firepower needed to pull this off, but are still Rhienland crafts the Das Wilde would use. The equipment and IDs would need to be taken as well." continued the Corporal.

He stopped for a moment as he reopened the file and looked through a page. He then started again, "Next we would fly from Reunion into Gallian trade routes and military targets to cause problems out there, all while acting like and claiming to be Das Wilde. We would have to get several agents with Rheinlander origins or at least our agent's accents and voices."

He closed the file and began pouring another glass, yet he continued speaking, "After making a presence in Gallia, we think the Order should step in. The Order High Command would act under the assumption it is Das Wilde causing trouble out there, and began gaining Gallian allies as we fight the infected problem they have been having. If it works perfectly, Gallia will try to seek out and attack the Das Wilde in Sirius and Order will have a few new friends out in Gallia. I realize the plan has some details it needs to work out, but I after reading the file I think it has some promise."

"Quite solid on paper. But then again, everything tends to be." The Admiral concluded the Corporal's explanation.

"I suspect that we will have a few hiccups. Tigersharks are still monitored. Not to mention, we will need actual vessels serving in the Rheinland military or police. Oh, and we can forget the military. Rheinland's eyes are heavily focused on it's borders. They suspect liberty saboteurs, so military technology is watched too closely. I could front the money for a bribe big enough, but I see no point too do so." X poured himself another glass.

"Forgive this continued rambling, but I think where we should focus our efforts is in obtaining a police vessel. Rheinland has for the most part forgot about it's Federal Police force, and bribery is not too much of an effort. Neither is hacking the police database to make it look like the ship never existed." The Admiral's glass stood still, save for the condensed water beads making their way down the glass.

"Oh, and whilst we are both good at what we do, I think we will need a bit of help from someone who knows the workings of Rheinland." X finished rambling and drank half the contents of his glass.

"I suggest we meet Sergeant Henreich Lederhosen, who is currently visiting his cousin who is working in Bretonia who has taken ill." X waved at the built man who had for the most part slipped into the room unnoticed.

"Oh, one more thing Corporal, Sergeant Lederhosen has no cousin working in Bretonia. That cousin would be his contact to us." X drained the glass and started pouring himself another. He knew Sergeant Lederhosen would begin to talk soon.

"Danke, Herr admiral. It's iz a honor to meet you in perzon. I have all ze information and contacts you require from Rheinland as well az the man who would give us the required X4TS Tigersharkz."

The Detektive pauses a bit.

"Hiz name is Manfred von Richthoffen, he is prepared to provide us with ze Tigersharkz, forged IDs and the equipment, for a price. He is afterall just another underworld bosz willing to make some profit."

The Detektive takes a glass of water and drinks it whole.

"I also have the police information and registries so we can properly register ze ships az if they were actually real Bundespolizei. And, of course, ich volunteer for this operation."

Simpson mentioned for a file on Rheinland craft to me brought in.

"What about other police craft? Do you have any suggestions for easier targets?" he asked. He scrolled along the list of ships, stopping at the Mjolnir class fighter.

"How about this one, it seems it would be a great addition to the Tigershark. Its also a police craft." he continued scrolling through the list, looking for possible ships.

The Intelligence Memoirs. - n00bl3t - 02-01-2011

"Thank you Henreich. It is important that we get those Tigersharks, and I will make sure that the funds for procuring them are ready." X nodded, then listened to Corporal Simpson speak.

"The Mjolnir is up there. It has the firepower for inflicting damage, is ingrained in Rheinland's nationality securely, and we can get to it." The Spymaster approved of the choice of the Mjolnir. He had his eye on it as well.

"As you can see, I have had this on my mind before your arrival in my office." X was clarifying why he was so prepared to the Corporal.

"My other agent, whilst good planned for a False Flag against Bretonia and Kusari, however, I think this operation is much bigger and has more gains for us. I took the liberty of tweaking his proposed plans. By pure chance Corporal, you picked the best time to come into my office." X nodded slightly, sagely and slowly simultaneously.

"Now, Henreich, what other men do we have down there in Rheinland which can help in this operation? I know we have a few others in the Wedjat on Toledo which have done espionage operations in Rheinland before, and can pass off a Rheinland accent. Who do you recommend?" X waited for a recommendation of men by the Sergeant.
