BULLDOG's growling at me - mwerte - 01-13-2008 I was flying around one afternoon and this message came up: ![]() At first I thought it was pretty funny and chuckled to myself. But then I realized that it could have been directed AT me!! Not just a generic consle message. *gulp. So I was definatly NOT speed modding, never even used the thing. So I am hoping that this is just a generic message.... please let me know Mr. Tony. BULLDOG's growling at me - BULLDOGNK - 01-13-2008 Now thats made me laugh, No Sir its not about you unless you are using speed Mod? I am on RD with the logs of players entering the server and we see what ships/weapons/cargo they have, also we can see what cheats they are running, so after you posted this i started checking accounts, the message must be working 55 online and no speed mod. but thanks for laugh. RD= Remote Desktop to the server you are playing on:) and again Cheers BULLDOG's growling at me - RingoW - 01-13-2008 Don't worry mwerte. I got the same message. I think some players try to use the speed mod intentionally, thinking they are clever. Some other might have used it for SP and forgotten to deactivate it, befor going online. Respectful AoM BULLDOG's growling at me - BULLDOGNK - 01-13-2008 ' Wrote:Don't worry mwerte. I got the same message. Yes AoM you are correct, people do play single player with the speed Mod on, but then they change to Multiplayer, Now lets put it this way so you may understand what i am saying, in real life would you leave the house in your car with no petrol? No you go to a garage and fill up, i will not except the excuse you was on single player with speed mod on and you forgot to turn it off when entering Multiplayer, thats just lazy to me. If you get caught using Speed Mod you will be banned plain and simple, you have to accept the fact it was your fault and no one else's. Cheers BULLDOG's growling at me - Doom - 01-13-2008 if console writes to you that message in green..then u should be worried... BULLDOG's growling at me - RingoW - 01-13-2008 @ BulldogNK: In my case i never used speed mod, even in SP. Sure if some players have forgotten to deactivate it, its their fault and they have to face the consequences. If they get banned temporary, they can take it as a lesson. It was not my intention to cover them. I just wanted to state, not all detected speed modders are bad guys. They have done something wrong and have to learn. As harder the lesson, as better the learning effect. At least in most times. Respectful AoM BULLDOG's growling at me - Exile - 01-13-2008 @mwerte : Chek with your fellow players if they saw the message, before posting something unnecesary like this. @AoM: How big is the chance of you "forgetting" to de-activate speed mod.. I think the discovery mod says it aint compatable, so you'll get a warning message as well. BULLDOG's growling at me - Dopamino - 01-13-2008 nope, it is compatible. One of the few add-ons that are with discovery. |
