i have seen alot of people being fined for F1ing???????

now where is that rule i just cant find it....

if u F1 out of combat then i would say it is oorp.. is that it...

a fin for being OORP.....

F1ing - Etaphreven - 01-13-2008

Igiss must have slipped the F1 rule when revising them.
But trust me,it IS a rule. And think about it...if say, you're the only person who says that if it ain't written as a rule, then it ain't a rule, and a few hundred other players say it's a rule and follow it,who do you think is right? You or the rest? 1 vs 700(random number)?

EDIT: and.....if you see admins fining people for F1 out of combat, what do you think it is?Power abuse?...Would it be that hard for you to realise that it's prohibited to do such thing?
You are seriously wasting people's time, including mine, with this stupid kind of whining.
EDIT: to be as clear as possible...if you see everybody doing it(following the rule),then why on Earth would you be different? That's selfish thinking.

I think you are right that it is not explicitly stated in the Server Rules thread. At least, I can't find it either.
Irregardless, it is an accepted violation of good sportsmanship and fairplay.
Just don't do it.

F1 is beyond OORP, it's beyond lame.. Anyone who F1's to avoid a situation is beyond pathetic.

You've said it a whole lot better:P

For some inexplicable reason, the rule does seem to have taken flight from it's rightful home.
This will be not be used as an excuse for anyone to exploit the fact. The rule quite obviously does still exist and
will be enforced.
Players using F1 in space to avoid being killed, and also docking on OORP bases, and those using F1 in space to
avoid being pirated will still be subject to a sanction, please be clear on that.

what the hell are u talking about i have not been fined of F1ing... i would never leave a fight.. never... iam just saying to the admin he should write it down for new players... new players cant know about it if it is not under rules.....

F1ing - amigo7 - 01-14-2008

I'd like to know how you prove someone has f1'd.
I've seen plenty of people do it and i guess to guard their precious cargoes of codenames and assorted loots.
But how do you prove it?
I have taken screenies of people just after they have f1'd but all it says is that they departed. As far as i can see it's your word against theirs, they can just say yeah i docked.
Also have witnesses to some occasions and yeah it can be quite annoying.
So how does someone get busted and how would you catch them doing it?

Additionally to amigo7. Can the admins track down, if the player was using F1 or had a sudden server connection crash?
I know from myself, my connection normally is without problems, but it happen some times, my net provider has server problems. Had this in a fight a while ago, but was happy, the involved player don't made a report.

It's all got me thinking now.....The amount of times that i have had lag and the system has crashed is beyond me. How many times that i've seen someone supposedly f1 have they had a lag crash?
I'd hate to get fined and or banned for the thing crashing on me.
