How are you supposed to buy mortars/heavy mortars when you're not Order/Corsair char but do have a heavy ship? Or are these weapons of limits?
Because they only sell the (hvy) mortars on Isis (Order) and Yaren (Corsair)...

you can get the heavy weapons sold at zoner bases, if some are not on zoner bases - but only on faction bases, you don t have a way to get them.

aperenty buying stuff on a zoner base dont matter much. i bought a huntress and my frend got corsear terrets from a zoner base and we all had to drop um by admin order becuse it was oorp. if a zoner base suplys it i dont see them protecting the sanctaty of an item from somebody with deep pockets regardless of what faction thay belong to.

Well for the capships weps you have no choices than to use enemys technologies
because Outcast have their own shield busters
Corsair have their own anti-fighters turrets
Order have to stronger stuff (Mortar, Order turrets)
Rheinland have the Cerberus
What does Liberty, bretonia and kusari have against that???? not alot
So it is comon to see people using the following guns on their ships:
Inferno
Cerberus
Nomad turrets
Mortar
sometimes battle razor

So would it be allowed for a bounty hunter to have nomad/corsair/order turrets on a cruiser?
They are sold everywhere, it wouldn't be like you need to dock on the enemy base to get it.
I don't know though.. I've heard about people being told to remove such enemy turrets..

Weal bounty hunters are a little different. They are technically the frontlines on the war agenst piracy and terrorism. They engage them in the independent systems and sometimes take the fight to there front door. Because the BHG is hostile to every unlawful faction in existence this gives them the opportunity to salvage enemy weaponry. This is why the BHG sells corsair turrets. And why it is arguable that BH ships can equip them. Also the BHG is intensely studying nomad tech they would have the knowledge to mount weapons that derive from the nomads. Given that they serve all the houses as weal it is not unreasonable for them to have access to all the house weapons to boot. It is the same for the zoners being neutral and all. And for many terrist factions as they can use tech from their chars home nation.
So in short it is arguable one way or the other. It is both outside the perfect little box the game is set in but still more then capable of being RPed. Also if you ask any merc or privet security official today they will tell you a good gun is a good gun regardless of who uses it. In Iraq many US solders violate GO-12B and use captured AK47s in the field. As they have better stopping power and more reliability then the M16/M4 sires of weapons in the desert environment. Look a gun is a gun. It doesnt care who uses it. and it is not like the corsers are so upstanding that they would not sell a gun to increase the groups finances or more then likely his own pockets.
The only ppl I see getting regulated rp wise are the house military as their equipment is issued to them and than do not personally own them. And I doubt the liberty navy would like to see corsair turrets mounted on their vessels, but this is only out of personal preference by the brass.
Bounty hunters, mercs pirates and even traders have the ability to really pick and choose their own equipment as they see fit. and if worse comes to worse a man can always go down to the nearest zonner base and buy just about anything as they only care about money.
In the end it all comes down to the admins personnel preference. If they dont want you to have it they will tell you. this game is structured for a reason every faction has their own guns and ships and really you are expected to stay in that little box, however again it can be argued that some ppl got it better than others. So it is not unreasonable for ppl to break the shackles that bind them. Virtually anything can be role-played. The lsf could press into service a huntress that had been impounded, phantoms could have a liberty dreadnaught and its crew defect to their side. A man could simply buy a RT witch is traditionally an unlawful craft but it is made by IMG and sold commercially. This goes for any guns and tech too, how many of you have 2.5 armor upgrades and above? You know those are made by their order right, so technically only they should have access to them, but nobody is just simply going to handicap themselves.
in the end if somebody doesnt like you he is going to accuse you of a server violation or being OORP just to save some face or try to get the last laugh. It is the way humans naturally act. Best thing to do is what you fill is right and if an admin asks you to change it then do so. But dont just blindly listen to somebody that may be just as ignorant as you.

I repeat the simple answer, given much time.
Its all a matter of RP. Means, to have easy access to equipment, doesn't mean to purchse and use it.
For example: Corsair and Order turrets are available on Blood dragon stations, but i'm in doubt you will ever see a Nova PG member using them. The same goes for many other Blood Dragon chars i have met.
