ID line clarification needed? - Slartibartfast - 02-15-2011

So, here's the Blood Dragon ID:
Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is a Blood Dragon, who :
Can demand credits or cargo from traders and unallied smugglers or factions,
Can engage pirates, terrorists and lawfuls within their Zone of Influence,
Can trade and escort smugglers,
Can fulfill bounty contracts,
Cannot ally with any lawfuls except for GMG,
Cannot use any transports with more than 4,300 cargo
Cannot attack the GMG.
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports

And the Blood Dragon Guard ID:
Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is a Blood Dragon Guard, who :
Can only pirate in a gunboat or smaller (cruisers and battleships may demand allied pilots only)
Can demand credits or cargo from traders and unallied smugglers or factions
Can engage pirates, terrorists and lawfuls within Kusari and Sigma systems
Can destroy on sight any ships carrying a non-allied ID within the Chugoku system
Can escort smugglers
Cannot ally with any lawfuls except for GMG
Cannot attack GMG
Cannot use any transport with more than 4,300 cargo
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats, Cruisers

Now what's confusing me for -quite- some time is the bold part on the guard ID.

Why is it ommited on the normal ID? Is it just there to remind people they can shoot any non-allied IDs on their caps, including traders or are only the guard ID'd players allowed to go mental in Chugoku?

Chogoku is like a guard system to them, no?

Yes and no. It's supposed to be heavily guarded, with the only base being secret, but there is KNF presence there Vanilla-wise.

It's sacred to Blood Dragons though, so it would make sense for them to go meantal about any unwanted presence there:P

That line in the guard ID is there to let you know You can kill traders with Cruisers.

Thats right, Chugoku is some sort of BD guard system.
This means by simply being in Chugoku and not being allied to the BD gives all BD vessels a valid RP reason to blast you to bits. Regardless which ship you and they fly. They just need to announce why and what they are going to do with the intruders before they shout "missile away!".

Just an example where Chugoku's special role is mentioned too:

Quote:6.7 Attacking freighters, transports, liners or demanding cargo from the same is not allowed for cruisers and battleships.

Exceptions to this rule are:

a) Official faction tagged house ships in their respective house space ONLY.
b) Terrorist, Nomad, Wild, Phantom ID players;
c) LSF or Liberty Navy Guard vessels operating within Zone 21 or Alaska;
d) Order Guard vessels operating within Alaska or Omicron Minor;
e) Blood Dragon Guard vessels within Chugoku;
f) Corsair Guard vessels within Omicron Gamma;
g) Outcast Guard vessels within Omicron Alpha;
h) Guard ID players in their -own- associated Guard system.
i) Special OP players within the guidelines of their approved RP.

I've highlighted the interesting part here. Cugoku is being separately mentioned.

Thanks for the reply. My question was actually whether we have that right no matter which ID we have, but I'll take that as a yes.:nyam:
