Okay... I'm pretty interested into the naming of the Liberty Capital.
All other Houses: Rheinland, Kusari and Bretonia named their Capital systems (and planets) after their counterparts back to Earth. But here comes The LIBERTY! Which names it's Capital system New York... and even gives their first planet the name of Manhattan.
I'm a bit confused about that... Why they have did this? Maybe, I have missed something in StarLancer's plot? Maybe, Washington was destroyed during the Great War?

New York is more important and socially relevant to the United States than Washington D.C.
The former being a symbol of prosperity to immigrants and business men alike, the latter being an impoverished city where elected officials go to Q_Q.

New New York, so good they named it twice.
I agree, it always irked me that it was not named "New Washington" or "Columbia". Hell, a lot of the systems irked me; like how Belfast and Cardiff aren't system names despite both being capitals in the UK.
