Freelancer Gaming on your netbook with GMA 3150 - Fix - dukinie - 02-19-2011

I've seen a few people having trouble playing Freelancer on the later generations of Netbooks running Windows 7 Starter, and figured I'd share the fix for these Netbooks.

The issue:
The In-game text is thrown around on the screen/artifact everywhere etc. - Main area's affected; Equiptment store, minimap etc.

The Fix:
Go onto Intels website & download the latest windows XP driver from here:
Intel GMA 3150 Driver May 2010

Just download the driver to your desktop and run the install, takes a couple of minutes, then reboot and go play.

I've been playing FL with this fix for a about 4 weeks now on my EEE and its been perfect :D

Thanks ever so much! I have been playing freelancer for several years on intel gma 950 first, and now 3150 and I have gotten used to the whole jumping text thing, although it made fast scans and other relevant stuff difficult. Thanks for this tip, it totally works!

Now, I might as well not ask this, but any chance you got the 3150 to work with ENBseries/bloom?
