I call to speak to the man who contacted my lieutenant about an unfortunate exchanging of words.
With him one of yours had previously discussed future arrangements, specifically those pertaining to the gathering of information and the defense of Gran Canaria.
Things were left unfinished, and i am apt to pursue such a potentially benificial "alliance", of sorts.

Thank you for that apology, it is gladly accepted, and returned for my brusqueness.
As it stands, The Corsair Empire and the Virulian Enclave, and by extension the TAZ, OSI, and Gran Canaria, have a very good relationship, something which i do not see changing in the future.
So I think a logical place to start would be with what we can offer each other, and what we are willing to give.
Now, obviously, I do not expect to get access to all of your raw intelligence, and i can assure you that you will not get access to mine.
Ways and means, that sort of thing.
What I offer you is any and all developed intelligence from any and all sources regarding any potential threat, action, or diplomatic overture against Zoners, Zoner bases, Zoner interests, or Zoner trade, in addition to anything that would be of great interest to the Zoner nation, including, but not limited to, business opprotunities, insider stock information, potential conflicts in Sirius, and ongoing diplomatic intercepts.
In return I would expect something similiar, and maybe some sort of favor-trade system, although the specifics can always be debated.
I hope this clarifies enough for more discussion.

Fascinating proposal sir..

How ever, I believe that I should make one thing absolutely crystal clear.

The Virulian Enclave are -not- Zoners.

We are our own and do not belong to the Zoner community, not like before in any case, but we do have beyond strong relations with the TAZ and the OSI.

Now onto the intelligence.

We the Virulian Enclave would be interested indeed in an exchange of information.
And I have been cleared to handle first hand negotiations in these talks.

So, how are we going to handle the exchange of information?

We have a burst transmitter in the Corsair Quarter on Gran Canaria that can easily be modified to also handle short range transmissions. I've pointed it to this uplink. Simply send a packet down the channel and it will be picked up and processed.
I will do the same.
Indeed, i already have a bit of info for you.
One of our agents picked up a strong rumor about a potential blockade action against Canaria. Unfortunately, no further information about that will be forthcoming, as as all efforts to further contact him have failed, and it can only be assumed that the agent has been neutralized in some form or another.
I would recommend writing up a action plan.

That's the best i can do. Revealing the source would be..........messy. very messy, and severely unbalance diplomacy, and it's only a rumor, not something concrete. Besides, the agent in question hasn't worked for ACIO for a very long time, and his motives are....questionable.
I once again recommend putting together an action plan to deal with such an event, and organizing a response team.
