Director Copperfield;
I am sure your agency has been informed, by the various happenings around Sirius, of the Coalition's recent spat of internal trouble. Two key figures of their old leadership have approached us for assistance with their predicament, and I've seen an unmissable opportunity for the Republic of Liberty.
Currently, Alvin Katz is aboard a secure Naval installation undergoing emergency medical treatment, but his aide, Brigadier-General Ricardo Alvarez, mentions the cause of the Coalition's internal uprising, an entity known only as the "Volkhan". They do not know anymore, and I can't see them as being in a position to withhold information on the leader of this uprising.
As they say, to be informed is to be prepared, so what the Republic now needs is for the Liberty Security Force to deploy special asset into Omega 52. The journey is long and the system under heavy guard, according to the Coalition remnant here in Liberty. However, with the insider information that came with that remnant, we may be able to find a way for a single ship to enter that system. Therefore, the Republic requires me to ask you to immediately begin outfitting a Liberty Siege Cruiser as a long range reconnaissance vessel.
Here we have a unique opportunity to install a regime more acceptable to the values of the Republic, and to eliminate an enemy from the laundry list that the nation currently enjoys. The Liberty Security Force will play a pivotal role in eliminating this threat. Given the sensitive nature of what I'm asking of you and your organisation, information regarding this operation is obviously classified as top secret. Please handpick your operatives for the assignment.
Fleet Admiral Hale;
Given the situation as outlined above to Director Copperfield, the Republic requires that Naval assets be deployed to the Omega region at once to contain the new regime in place in Omega 52. These forces should be prepared for extensive, prolonged and covert operations in the region. I'm sure you can find the men and women for the job, Fleet Admiral.
It may come to pass that we actively assist the Coalition remnant currently residing in Liberty in retaking control of the system. If that comes to pass, success must be assured. I cannot stress enough the importance, and secrecy, of this operation.
One more thing we need to discuss, with the Brigadier-General currently in Naval custody, is the finer points of such an endeavour, and whether the Republic will lend its support at all. The instructions outlined previously are only a rough plan for this operation, should it take place.
Thus, I would like it if we could all meet at a secure location for such a discussion.

I have already given Special Operative Captian G-3 a short briefing on what may be expected of them, and I will assign the LNS Integrity under the command of either Captain Bill Kreagan or Commander Jasmine Greenson as their base of operations. They will be in a state of readiness within the next twenty-four hours.

I suggest we hold a meeting there. Alvarez has proved to be a spirited idealist, at least from what I gather from my brief conversations with him, and quite an engaging and intelligent man, despite his political leanings. I can schedule a meeting and reserve a secure conference room on the station at any time.
