Bugger.
Root Canals are no fun, but if you are lucky they will use 'gas' (YAY! Seriously) and numb your face out so much you will think it's taken a walk.
The good thing about 'gas' (nitrous oxide - medical not the stuff they race with) is even if you feel the pain, you won't care, you'll be having too much fun.
At least that is how it was for me when I had one of my wisdom teeth out. The other wisdom tooth was 'impacted', so I had to have day surgery for that one.
Even so, once it's done, you shouldn't have to worry about those teeth again.

What's a root canal? A sort of 'teeth-related' job?
Also, did you ever fall with your body on a tree stomp? I did. And trust me, it hurts a lot if the thing is sharp.
Fortunately for me, it only penetrated in my leg, missing my family heirloms by some centimeters.
