Erm....
I know Marburg has made several posts saying that oversize signatures will be removed without warning after a certain date.
I ran across them yesterday while wandering around the forum.

I don't really see the point of a pm, the rules are quite clear. It's your job to follow them and make sure that your not exceeding the limit. Surely moderators have more important things to do then chase people around for large signatures. Always remember to check the size of the signature before you make it/put it on the forum. That way you can't go wrong.
