Looking for a good unlawful faction - chevy.nova - 01-25-2008

I am pretty new to Disco, having joined a few factions to see which I like. I'm in a couple of lawful factions, but I'd like to see the game from the unlawful side too. I've looked at the faction status list to see what is available. I like the big selection of ships available to the [Ros], but not sure which side of the Outcast/Corsair conflict I want to be on. Maybe if some players from all unlawful factions could give me a sense of what it's like within their ranks. And if you'd rather PM me that's fine too.
Please educate me, make me understand why your unlawful faction is the one for me. And I understand if you will want info from me to help you know if I'll fit with you.

Thanks much!

Don't get too ambitious too fast.
Immerse yourself in the factions that you have already joined, and assist in their success.
Then evaluate your level of remaining free time and join an unlawful faction that is struggling for viability.
The best way to evaluate a faction is to start an independent character that is aligned with the faction that interests you and go fly with the clan when they are operating. That way you will learn about their schedules of playtime, and find out whether you fit into their already existing team and framework.
This is almost such great advice that I am tempted to write it into The Lane Hackers recruitment procedures...but why complicate what is already horrendously complex.

I have to agree with Xoria here, you should try to focus on as few factions as possible and really get involved with them. Then, if you do have some time spare then you should look for the factions that are struggling for members first and then, if you really must, look at the larger factions.

But, of course, i must say...the Liberty Rogues are -always- looking for new members!:)Links are in my sig.

The Blue Lotus Syndicate, one of only two smuggling factions, offers you the ability to fly any Outcast or Outcast-side-criminal snub ships once you become a Henchman.

O, pish tosh, laddie,

Join the NLH and fly for a greener Sirius. Ye'll be flyin' wi' the likes o' Sean Dawson, our leader, Red John, White Squall Davey, the beautiful and vivacious Silvanus, ex-Plague Dog Damien McEwan, the penultimate hippie throwback Toby Neptune, and yours truly, Moira Kentigearna.

We've vowed to clean up the foul stench o' Bretonia, which also means we occassionally throw in wi' the likes o' the Corsairs, the Kusarans, and the IMG, if they've a kettle o' fish brewin' which needs the Gaian touch.

We don't have the best or biggest shippies in the 'verse, but we're proud and committed to our role and our cause.

Give us a tumble,
(especially if ye're cute 'n single..)
