"The Octagon Formations"
I went to the luxbar at the Hotel, really a techy one. And in the news they were recapping from 815 A.S. the Battle of the Forces at Tau-31. I recall as told by my father words about the decisive encounters with Bretonia in which the regroup the forces by splitting the huge fleet in a series of formations called; "The Octagon Formations". I remember how exited he always was telling them, cause the ships within were almost impossible to be flanked emerging and regaining part of the Octagon shape formation when attacking huge vessels and cruisers. Then when the Annihilation was achieved the battle group commanders shape-shifted the Octagon by pitching forward and back the Octagon to crossfire fighters and bombers. No wonder over 85% of the original fleet came back home after the retreat of the Bretonia fleet to Leeds. I remember like now he was screaming in total happiness; After the regroup strategy meeting of the forces ; "The Octagon Formations counterstrike was meaningful and save us". The was the prestige achieved and gained by the forces. That's why it's not an easy path to become part of it. Because once there, they act and move like a once piece body.
