It’s that time again. This time you will need to choose a wingman, because it will be a 2vs2 tournament. This time allied factions are also invited: Artisan Farmers Alliance, Nature’s Last Hope and the Black Dragon Society.
Because not all allied ships have permission to enter Omnicron 96 (//not all can enter O96 and land on corsair guard bases in O96) the Tournament will take place at Tripoli Shipyard.
Rules and Regulations:
- Only ships with [TBH], Benitez, HAF, [NLH], [|], [AFA] or |Sails tags can join. The only exceptions are made for the independent Corsair Elders and the members of the Black Sails Privateer Wing who can fly their personal ships
- All fighters and guns are permitted as long as they do not belong to enemies of the Empire and the faction/player has permission to use the respective tech
-Generic equipment is permitted (mines, cruise disruptors, mini-razor etc). So called “codename” weapons are also permitted
- Once you come to the location of the event you will not be permitted to change the setup of your ship, so chose wisely
- The use of nanobots or shield batteries is forbidden. We recommend you do not equip your ship with them, because if you make a mistake and use them you will be disqualified and you will leave the tournament.
- You will be permitted to reload on mines, cruise disruptors, missiles or counter measures after each duel
- There will be 3 duels per round and the one who wins 2 is declared the winner. In a 2-0 situation the 3rd duel will be canceled.
- The event will be a single-elimination tournament. That means you lose and you are out. The only exception is for the semifinals, where the two losers will compete for the 3rd place
Teams:
- Each registered team must have two members
- Each faction can register two or more teams, labeled <faction.name> 1, <faction.name> 2, etc
- Each team which registers must be composed of members belonging to the same faction
- If a registered player doesn’t show up for the event the remaining team member can chose to fight alone in order to honor his faction’s name. If he doesn’t wish do to that he will be designated to an “orphan’s team” and he will fight with another “orphan” as wingman
Entry fees and prizes:
- a 5 000 000 (five million) SC per team entry fee will be transferred to Sails.Event when you register and proof of the transfer should be posted here
- the Black Sails will add an extra 20 000 000 SC to the pot. Donations from other factions or participants are welcome
- the credits collected will be split between the three best teams, as it follows: 60% for the 1st place, 30% for the 2nd place and 10% for the 3rd place
- Besides the prizes and honor, each of the three best teams will receive a bonus reward such as: “Grimly’s Throttle Stick” for the 1st place, “Cesar’s’ Eyepatch of Aim” for the 2nd place and “Queen Espi’s Mine” for the 3rd place.

I would personally attend this as a contestant were it not for other commitments. Sadly I will be away on business, however I will gladly contribute to the winning pot. I will forward twenty million credits to the overall winners, fifteen million to the second prize winner, and ten million to the third prize winner, after the results have been announced.
I am former OPG myself, serving as one of Gentle's personal guard. This contest has a little emotional attachment for me, and so I support it wholeheartedly. It's a shame such mundane things as work can get in the way...
