To Fleet Admirals Hale and Ralston, Robert McKay, Secretary of State for Defence, and Lord Edward Marlborough, Chancello - DarthBindo - 04-01-2011 Good morrow, to both of you. I am Felix Sherman, Chief Executive Officer of Interspace Commerce Transnational. In recent days the ridiculous embargo between Liberty and Kusari has caused great loss of profit for Liberty and our companies, and greatly reduced the supply route for Bretonia. We here at Interspace greatly mourn that the increasingly nationalistic and rather hostile Samura-led government of Kusari has seen fit to initiate such drastic economic measures against Liberty, and indirectly, against Bretonia. Given Interspace's long history as a arbeiter and equalizer among nations, and our vested interest in the destruction of this idiotic embargo and the resumption of normal trade relations with their corporations, our allies, our partners, our clients, and our debtors, we feel that it falls to us to attempt to negotiate any possible reversal of Kusari's aggression. While USI and the Golden Crysanthemums, as well as Interspace's own discreet transport arm, have done a wonderful job ensuring Liberty and Bretonia does not starve of H-fuel, there still exists a serious shortage, and thus we must destroy this embargo. We recently contacted Mr. Kogen and his Council of the Rising Sun to discuss with him the measures they demanded in exchange for the dropping of the embargo. We expected ridiculous bravado and outrageous claims, but we recieved a single rather simple demand. The transmission is copied for your viewing pleasure. Quote:From the desk of His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Jien Kogen of KusariA simple demand, and less than expected. I put before you, that acceding to this demand and giving up the Bretonian use of Liberty weapons will ultimately benefit the Liberty and Bretonian people much more, as the dropping of the embargo will allow an increase in construction, a decrease in fuel prices, and much easier availability of plutonium. After all, it is the skill of the Crown's pilots that keeps the pirates and aggressors at bay, despite the fine engineering of the Libertonian weapons. By the will of the People and the grace of the Crown, Felix Sherman, CEO, Interspace Commerce Transnational To Fleet Admirals Hale and Ralston, Robert McKay, Secretary of State for Defence, and Lord Edward Marlborough, Chancello - DarthBindo - 04-02-2011 I do assume that the Republic of Liberty and the Kingdom of Bretonia are, in fact, interested in bringing down this embargo. Correct? To Fleet Admirals Hale and Ralston, Robert McKay, Secretary of State for Defence, and Lord Edward Marlborough, Chancello - DarthBindo - 04-05-2011 Considering the GMG is now embargoed, it is even more imperative than this blockade be brought down. Interspace can reassign our trade ships, borrow a few favors, and provide the Kingdom of Bretonia and the Republic of Liberty with at least a modicum of the required H-fuel and Plutonium, but first the embargo must be brought down, and in order for that to happen, Emperor Kogen has demanded you stop using each other's weapons. Is this such a ridiculous demand as to be worth crippling entire economies? I will however state that the current Embargo on Liberty is a cowardly act the Kusarians have decided to take. An official statement will be given once Lord Marlborough or Admiral Ralston are available. Signed, Director Regis Lawson Home Office of Military Intelligence [Transmission Terminated]
To Fleet Admirals Hale and Ralston, Robert McKay, Secretary of State for Defence, and Lord Edward Marlborough, Chancello - DarthBindo - 04-12-2011 Really now. I run the largest private entity in all of Sirius and i still find time to keep in shape. This is a matter of utmost importance, and each and every delay leads to more losses. Simply put, the Navy did what it could and Robert Mckay did what he could, to remove this embargo. We had very nearly come to an agreement with the Kusarian government, regarding tranfering all the Libertonian equipment from the Bretonian Armed Forces, to the Bretonian Police Authority. This would have been an acceptable agreement.
Then the LSF made a mess... I won't go into detail. Now we all pay for it. Blame them. Or don't... The truth of the matter is that the Kusarian government is unlikely to shift it's position regardless of what we do. On another note, I don't appreciate your attitude and impatience. I happen to be extremely busy fighting a war on behalf of Liberty, and Fleet Admiral Ralston is doing much the same for his own country. Perhaps considering the fact that your corporate entitity doesn't have the physical safety of entire nations riding on it's shoulders, would be extremely wise before you start making wise-cracks about finding time to stay in shape. To Fleet Admirals Hale and Ralston, Robert McKay, Secretary of State for Defence, and Lord Edward Marlborough, Chancello - guitarguy - 04-13-2011 :::Incoming Transmission::: Source: Battleship Derby, Leeds System From: Admiral Blake Owen To all concerned, Fleet Admiral Ralston is currently unavailable, so I will answer what I can. It is the policy of the Bretonian Armed Forces to engage in technology and training exchanges with friendly houses, House Liberty in particular, whenever possible. Of course, international disputes can easily disrupt such activities. While it is regrettable that Kusari's insatiable desire for power may disrupt such activites, we must act in the best interest of our houses. I am curious to know if Kusari demands that no military equipment be exchanged, or if they are referring to only house-specific weapons and ships. Significant disruption in military vehicles and other generic technology is something we wish to avoid, but to forgo trading Templars for Guardians may be an acceptable loss. At any rate, this may be a moot point, as Admiral Hale has informed us there has been a diplomatic complication. Finally, I would like to note that the Armed Forces itself cannot make unilateral international decisions; the government must approve. Hoping this is helpful, Blake Owen, Admiral, Derby Fleet :::Transmission Terminated::: To Fleet Admirals Hale and Ralston, Robert McKay, Secretary of State for Defence, and Lord Edward Marlborough, Chancello - DarthBindo - 04-17-2011 Are you giving up? Because all i'm hearing are excuses. You can sit there and kick the sweet bejesus out of Rheinland all you want, it won't matter a pair of dingo's kidneys when Liberty implodes on itself and there's gorram rioting in the bloody streets because the economy's collapsed. I've already had to shut down half of Furyoku, and only by the grace of God did our stockholders keep their cool. If the rest of the station becomes untenable, because, contrary to your opinion, we are fighting an actual gorram war just to keep Okinawa supplied against the Hogosha, I'll have to shut it down. Do you know how Sirius will react to that? It will be an economic panic. That cannot happen, and unless revenue picks up again and the trade ships and their escorts start flowing back to Okinawa, it will. Hell, there's already muttering in the streets about the ridiculous fuel prices, and Liberty's GDP has dropped almost 15% since prices began to rise. I have an ironclad agreement, the sovereign word of the Emperor of Kusari, that if Bretonia stops using Liberty weapons, the embargo will come down. That's hard. Kusarians don't go back on their word without committing social and political suicide. All it takes is one little word. Yes. The Republic of Liberty and Kingdom of Bretonia already negotiated the exchange of weapons to be moved to our respective police forces. This was done months ago.

To Fleet Admirals Hale and Ralston, Robert McKay, Secretary of State for Defence, and Lord Edward Marlborough, Chancello - Slainte - 04-17-2011 Comm Channel: Open From: Admiral Jack Frost To: Felix Sherman Subject: Embargo Sir, As Fleet Admiral Hale has already said, the exchange has been moved to local police forces in our respective houses months ago. These weapons that our two organisations exchanged through mutual friendship will not be used on the front lines. This was done at the request of Libertonian and Bretonian Governments only and not as the result of some upstart Kusari puppet who is digging his own house into a very deep hole that they insist on making deeper. Bretonia will never, i repeat never, succeed to demands from the puppet emporer. And now i see you talking and bowing and scraping to them in efforts to placate them. Let me tell you, this will never work. If you give in to them ounce you will always give in to them. As for H-fuel, with the recent events in the Sigmas, ounce again showing Kusari's lack of sense, there is a lack of H-fuel throughout Sirius. One that Bretonian shipping companies are trying thier best to make good by stepping up thier shipments to both Bretonia and Liberty. Yours aye Admiral Jack Frost Comm Channel: Closed |
