The day an Angel was born - Little Angel - 04-24-2011

Being born is something, every living being has to bear. Some, you could say, have to feel that special feeling twice. One women was special. Her second birth was painful. It was her first clear memory too, feeling immense pain, although there was nothing, she could do to stop them. Her eyes stayed closed, her limbs unable to move. Just her ears were able to notice something, a few voices, very close to her.

"She should be awake now. Why is she silent? Why isn´t she moving around?" One voice was complaining, she felt something striking her cheek, although compared to the pain in her body, it was merely a gentle touch. "Would you please stop touching her? It takes a while." another voice was hallowing, almost bored. "You see, without the hydraulic fuel, she can´t move at all. It is very complicated, but with the hydronic capacitator, there will never be...." The voice trailed into nothingless, as her body simply shut down, unable to take the pain any longer.

The next time her body awakened, there was no pain. In fact, the only strange feeling was a line of ice, pressing right into her backbone. "You are awake, are you?" A voice cleared her mind, much more human then before. In fact, slowly, other sounds appear, people talking in lowered voices, the humming of computers working on standby, the soft sound of hydraulic, slowly moving something.... "Yes... that is your arm." the soft voice told her, some finger working on a notepad. "You can move it, although feeling is not yet implemented. I would like to check your other bodily functions. Please just do, what I tell you. It won´t be painful and it won´t take much time." She tried to nod, but something strange was holding her head in position, being unable to nod. So she tried to use her voice, unsure, if that is even working. "Y...e.....s..." her voice shocked everyone, even herself. She was using full volume and her voice was metallic, emotionless. "Damn, Doctor. You ruined her. How can we use such a voice for undercover? Even as normal pilot she is useless, such a voice would ruin the radio." It was the other voice. The one, who was complaining. Maybe he didn´t like her... or something went wrong. She tried to open her eyes, but there was nothing. Was all that a dream? Her mind was racing, as she just did, what the soft voice told her. She moved her feet, her arms, she tried to move her shoulders, she took something and moved it to the side. She solved math problems and tried to remember numbers. Finally, someone touched her shoulder and her mind went blank again.

The next time she awakened, her eyes showed her something. It was blurry, but she was able to see two people. One was small and slim, almost tiny, wearing a long white coat. The other one was bigger, as far as size and weight, being on the chubby side. He was wearing something black. it could be an uniform, although it is hard to see which kind. There was still the cold feeling of ice around her back bone, but now she felt more. Metal, cold. Around her thighs and on her hands. Yes, she could actually feel something with her body. This way she had freedom, she could see with her eyes and her body. But the chubby man barked away, as she recognized the voice, which always complained. "Great. She seemed to work now. Can we please use that laboratory for another project?" Her mind went blank. One moment he moaned about her not working the right way and now... he wants her gone? How much time moved by between those two memories... "My dear Charleston, you may own this Liner, but as long as my credits pay the oxygen you breath, you will have to spare those rooms for me and my little project." The voice came from the man wearing the coat, although filled with enough sharpness to stop any kind of conflict right now, the voice sounded bored, almost as he had this fight at least one dozen times. He sighed, his hand waved in front of her eyes and her whole body just shutted down.

Her back, usually ice cold was burning. Something happened, something very bad. Her eyes opened, this time having the sharpness of an Eagle. Her legs move in position, bending the metal, which was holding her down without any kind of problem. Her arms were freed in a breeze too. Then she walked to the next window, shining into the space. Or at least those spots of space, which weren´t hidden by metal. At least two battleships had surrounded the Liner she was looking out from, a wave of smaller vessels moving around, their weapons sending energy against the shields, who were on the brink of shattering. Finally, as the shields vanished, two Transporters docked on the Liner, sending waves of Soldiers into the belly of the ship. She moved back into her room, not sure, what to do. Then one Monitor switched on, showing two dozends of Soldiers pointing guns at the small Doctor, who talked to her so often. "Doctor Egorov, you are under arrest for smuggling, human trafficking, unethical experiments and being member of two criminal associations." One of the soldiers shouted as they put handcuffs on him. In her brain, something moved aside. Inside of her, she was sure, that she has to get him out of prison... as soon as she gets herself to safety.

((more will come as soon as she remembers more ))
