Mining Operations' Log of Immanuel Kant, second entry.

**A heavy sigh is heard in the background, followed by the sound of a chair screeching under weight and the *pop* of a Rheinbeer bottle opening**

Right, here we go. I haven't made one of these for a while, mainly because there hasn't been much of anything happening. My crew has been making good progress with their mining shifts. The Edling facility is now thoroughly supplied with Aluminium Ore, we've even gotten to the point where storage capacity has become a problem.

Not a lot of clients though. We've seen the odd request for a few hundred units here and there. The largest consignment we got was during a stint in the Omega-11 fields, for Uncut Diamonds. That 4985 units going to clients. Anyway the system has been quiet for a while now. I would recommend organizing full scale mining expedition while the peace lasts.

Type and amount of ore mined: Aluminum Ore, 30,000 Units; Uncut Diamonds, 6,000

Captain's notes:

Mining Operations' Log of Immanuel Kant, third entry.

We are beginning another mining shift at Edling. Ore supplies at the station are getting low again, so they are sending us out in the field for more.

The Chiemsee has had some notable visitors recently. A Bismark battleship passed through recently, apparently running live fire exercises. It barely managed to fit between the rocks.

The captain was friendly enough, and even got us rid of a pesky Unioner interceptor, which was showing signs of interest towards Edling. I would really like to see HQ send us some security wings down here. I'm planning on running some reccon' flights on one of the Eagles laying around the docks.

The Unioner pilot has made additional appearances around the field. He even tried establishing communication with the mining team. Trying to spread propaganda or something.

Otherwise the operation has been going without a hitch. I better get a move on, our next shift starts in fifteen'.

End of Third Log Entry.

Employee ID: Johan Stein
Communication Source: Solarius Station, Omega 11
Communication Receiver: DHC HQ, New Berlin

Ship name: DHC-Dortmund

Convoy participant ships:
  • DHC-Dortmund[R}
  • DHC-Gerald.Stahr

Route: Omega-11 to New London and back
Cargo delivered: 3500 Uncut diamond (mined at Omega-11) to Waterloo Station and 3000 boxes of mining machinery from Thames outpost to Solarius Station

Captain notes:
Today was the maiden flight of the Dortmund and it seems the ship can handle itself. The first lap of the journey was getting it out into the mining field where Gerald Stahr would help us load up on uncut diamonds. But on our way there we noticed a freelance miner stealing our ore:[Image: IDminer.png] We warned this thief to leave our systems, but he did not comply. We off course called in the security division and DHC-Hellgrau-1 responded.

Even after being told to drop the stolen uncut diamonds several times the miner did not respond. This lead to the expected end. [Image: Miner_Death.png]

After this an RFP officer send out an Kadet to investigate, after informing him the situation was resolved the kadet agreed to escort us to the Omega-7 jumpgate in Omega-3. The trip to New London from there was uneventful. The trip back to Omega-11 was uneventful as well until we flew through Stuttgart where a large scale operation of the Military against a couple of Hessian pilots was underway, we of course continued on with due haste, it might have been a slight bit to much hast because on our way to the Omega-11 Jumpgate a Trade lane malfunction threw both our ships against each other with such force that the smaller vessel of Gerald Exploded.

After aiding the survivors in any way I could and making some small repairs to my ship I continued, sadly alone to Solarius station. it might be an idea to start developing a better trade lane system that guarantees the necessary separation of vessels so these tragic accidents don't happen

Captains, I'll be short. It's time to raise our productivity and export more minerals. Our goal is 50 000 Aluminium Ore containers, delivered to Bretonia, and 50 000 containters with Raw Hydrocarbons mined in Omega-3 and delivered to our factories at Nuremberg.

Deadline is at 25th May. Captains Stein and Paul are hereby nominated for coordinators of that operation. By the way, captain Stein, your previous reports granted you promotion to full-rights employee. You may remove [R] marking from your ships now.

Headquaters excepts results of both of you, and increased employee activization. Good luck captains.

Captain notes: Last night we decided to make some headway in the mission Transmitted Earlier, for this goal we loaded 3 transport in Munich with freshly mined Alluminium and Headed for New London and delivered the ore. On our way to the Omega-3 system we took along a load of Mining machinery to aid mining operations at Rugen Station. Some more mining commenced to fill the ships again with Raw Hydrocarbons, which we brought to planet Nuremberg. So for the mission we are at 13.000/50.000 containers delivered for both the Alluminium as the Raw hydrocarbon deliveries.

From: Thorsten Paul
To: DHC Pilot Report Relay System Console
Source: DHC-Heidelberg
Topic: Flight Report

It has been the first flight today which started with myself bingeing on the meal at the Raubling Station. Then the entire crew of Heidelberg found themselves stockpilling the Aluminium Ore crates from the Edling Station. The radiation out there made the small aid bots completely effete. Thus, the crew did a hard job getting those crates inside the Ship. The white pods provided enough protection of Ores and probably as I speak, the assistant captain of the ship would be replacing them with some hull-coated Green Pods.
Anyways moving the cargo wasn't of much discussion, The cargo was mounted and the ship left the facility for Southampton.
Peaceful was the description of such journey. Until I reached the Omega-3, had few trouble with the asteroids in there. But after crossing Aland, I found a Junker named LuckyBucks. I had a conversation with him while moving to Southampton. It fried a bit of hole in my pocket though. Yet I managed to deliver the ores to Southampton.

I managed to get my ship to our station at Omega-3. But did meet him again. He was benevolent to take away the Toxic wastes from me and did provide our crew with hundred crates of Rum. The aftermath of that can't be disclosed by me as my crew still jokes about the character I became after two solitary drinks from those crates.

Resuming the work which I was entitled, I arranged a suitable fame slot to move out with Raw Hydrocarbons from Rugen Station. The surroundings had ample supply for the requisite ores and I had to gear up myself so, that I could hit the bar at right time. Mr. Franz Becht was relaxing his muscles out *surely he was* ....

After a brief discussion, I had him persuaded to help me out in the bunglesome Orefield out of the station. I must add, Mr. Franz Becht is quite philanthropic in nature and I must admit his caring nature dwells perfectly among the employess in the company. He moved himself and helped my ship by mining the required amount of Raw Hydrocarbons.

After a brief halt back again in Rugen, I moved back to Munich system. Nothing notable happened out there. Just few encounters with some independent encounters. But nothing a sort of to be famed. After some hours, Heidelberg managed to reach Nuremberg. After the business deal at the planet, I along with few crates of Rum left, managed to greet sayonara to the crew and moved to the closed quarters in Edling station.

After a heart day off, I managed to lure my mind to gather some work from Edling. The crew of Heidelberg was perching for a long time. Well, with the sound of the work, they started to load the last few crates left in Edling station. The Cargo was stacked and marked accordingly. Exactly some hours after restocking food supplies for the crew, we started the journey to New London.

The Journey was peaceful and surprising as the ship didn't manage to register even one other ship in proximity range. The long range radars and inter system communication frequency didn't have any dominating news either. It was an all out silence in the entire Rheinland space as we flew over Berlin and paved way into the Omegas.
Even the Omegas were too silent at the moment, not even a single miner nor any hindrance provided to me in my path. I managed to grab some communication frequencies from Rugen station. Moved to Cambridge shortly and poked my way into the London space without any trouble. The Ores were delivered at Southampton promptly.

The frequencies which I had fortunately shoved in my transponder gave me a cargo need work of delivering Oxygen bottles to Rugen. I managed haul the entire ship hold full of Oxygen Bottles to Rugen and it was delivered at the docking bay C of Rugen.

After hitting the office, I managed to get Mr. Stein help me fill Heidelberg with Raw Hydrocarbons which, at present, are still on the Ship's cargo hold waiting for their delivery which will probably be done by tomorrow.
