We're still out here hauling all manner of ship parts and supplies, and we've run into more trouble from rookie Corsair and Red Hessian patrols lately. Now, while my crew and I are handling them just fine, I have gotten a suggestion from our gunners that we try some of the Class 5 PT91 "Buckshot" Particle Turrets. Yes I know they're more commonly mounted on fighters, but my boys are getting a bit fed up with the, as they term them, "civilian pea-shooters" that we currently have mounted. Anyways, I'm contacting you because the ship outfitters absolutely refuse to allow us to purchase these weapons, citing obscure arcane regulations and some "tech allowance chart". Well, I shared a few choice words with him, but as you well know they pick the most stubborn people they can find to man the requisitions counter. He said he'd be able to release some of the turrets if I got written permission from higher-up. So here's requesting permission to purchase 7 Class 5 Buckshot turrets for my ship, the APM-Virgo. Now, since there really isn't much out there in the way of combat data for these guns on this type of ship, it may be the case that they don't perform so well and we end up using other turrets. In that case we'll be happy to return these to a Guild outfitting depot. While we wait for your response, we'll be out plying the spacelanes. If this request is approved, most likely we'll pick up the weapons at Deshima station, as our route takes us there about once a week. If you could forward the message and paperwork to their outfitting manager it would be much appreciated. See ya at the next holiday party!
