So, apart from the barge, 5k is the biggest any of the transports go, although many people could afford bigger ones, why is this? Why did the disco community decide not to create any more ships bigger than 5k? I hardly think a 7 or even 10k ship would break discos economy, do you?

Yes it would. People could grind enough money to buy a battleship in three days, two if they're really determined if they had a 7-10k cargohold.

Barges are now open use, and i don't see a significant increase in Lolns dreads.

Look at it this way:

THEY GET THEM ANYWAYS. Nerf mining, nerf trading, doesnt matter. THEY STILL GET THEM.

Please, add ships with bigger holds.. Allow us who don't have the time (or patience) to powertrade for a few days to get more when we actually DO get on.

Barges also are slow, annoying to fly, and easy targets.

A 7-10k transport more in line with the current 5ks would drastically change the economy.

Since the Barge has an extremely difficult time navigating asteroid fields, using gates, and especially using tradelanes, its ability to generate credits is lower than that of a 5k transport. By making 10k transports that are the size (or near the size) of other ships and with normal cruise engines and the ability to use TLs, it will create a situation of massive loldreads. The barge isn't unbalanced for the simple reason of the time it takes to move it and the difficulty of doing so. Not to mention how incredibly easy it is to pirate one.

Adding more ships just because you think you need more ships in a faster way? Doesn't sound like a priority.

So.........balance them.
It would follow that a 10 k would be twice the size of a 5k.
Obviously taking the stats of one ship and buffing only one without nerfing the others would create an unbalanced ship.
