CBF Unofficial Faction Concept/Idea - Death.RunningVerminator - 06-01-2011

I thought with the recent faction forums remodeling and all, it would be a good time to put this sucker up 'ere. This is basically a completely updated post of the CrossBones Foundation status and info. I took Zigeris's post from here and basically edited, updated, and polished it up a bit. Here ya go! Feedback welcome!

- CrossBone's New direction -

Seeing how effective the Fort Bush attacks were they decided to expand their operations into more a aggressive work over. Ordering hits, and training spies the CrossBone was becoming more of a organized secret military. Hence the separation of names, CrossBone -Military, and Foundation- Activists and fundraisers. Over all it can be placed as CrossBone Foundation. With their new drive for military power they began working on new ships with the help of contractors from Liberty, Kusari and Zoners (Non partisans). They too worked on building new combat systems. Ones that heightened the senses of the pilot. The location of their mobile base which was created in 790AS has always been secret. They would receive supplies by transports under super heavy guard or smuggled quietly. With the completion of their prototype systems they are now positioning to producing a small fleet. Richard (Gothera) Is in charge of stealing what ships he can and weapons while performing terrorist attacks on the CrossBones enemies.

Long Term Goal: 30+ years.
To be plain and simple greed is a power motivator for assertive natures of humanity. CrossBone and the Foundation are no different. They wish to set part from the rest of Sirius to build their own Nation. And from there make a utopia the power can control where they will set the future for their generations. Rumored to be called the "Sunken City" prospectors were sent years ago to search for a suitable location to call home. 67 years later there has been no word. The Foundation has grown into a gnashing tormentors for Sirius as a whole. The years past has made many of them forget their dream. That is to be free to live in a nation of their choice.

Mid Term Goal: 10-20 years
Secure territories for their own to amount bases and military operations. Eventually annex whatever systems they can; Empire building.

Short Term Goal: 1-5 years
Diplomacy that will grow their organization. Conduct Military operations against Gallia. Building and constructing military forces. Store and gather as much resources a possible.

Foundation's Mission

Primary: Commit Terrorist Acts to impose their political weight.
Secondary: Supply the CrossBones.

Naming Convention is as follows:

IFF: Freelancer/None
ID: Pirate/Smugger

Ranking Structure


The Board Members: Often unnamed and unfaced and hard to find. They send their orders secretly and plot terrorist attacks as their primary role. The Board Members are often viewed as the fundraisers as most have never had any other job then being CEO's or other business vendors. Being high in sociality of Liberty, Bretonia, and Kusari the amount of money they can raise is unstoppable.

Lord: Lord is given to the commands of the "CrossBone," military element of the organization. Lord is in charge of building Naval forces and suppling them. Other than The Board Members, there is no higher rank that can been obtained. The current Lord is flying the Cruiser which is commanded by Gothera.

Militia Constables: Are the Lord's general's. They are given commands to attack and to gather intel on the their foes. They travel great distances for excursion where ever needed. They are in command of building tactical battle plans.

Grand Militia Constable: He is the right hand man of the current Lord. Is typically in a cruiser, and uses the RPC.

Militia: Are regulars employed and hired by the Militia Constables. They carry out the orders of the Crossbones which include pirating, looting, assaults, Intel gathering, smuggling, and black market dealing.

Informants and spies: Hired and trained by The Board Members, they are skilled killers. They are the enforcers of The Board's policies. And often found on Freeports. As they are the "first contact," for any merc and freelancer looking for something to do. They fly any civilian vessel they can get hold of.

Primary the tech is what is tangible to get from a merc, freelancer and even pirate stand point. Alot of raids will be conducted in Gallia and loot that isn't given to that Outcasts are kept for study and use. Already 3 weapons have been looted and now is stored withing the CBF.

Smuggling and Weapons dealing:


Some targets that interest the CrossBones greatly is the Weapon stores and dealers. They will often attempt to steal weapons with all costs necessary. While looting war zones for weapons and technology some of it is worth a great deal. And while CODE weapons are rare and the sources of the CODE weapons even rarer to find they will sell everything they can. (This does no imply a player group focused on looting CODE gun wrecks. I find that to be tacky but CrossBones will attack weapon stores while selling stolen guns and ones purchased through deals)

High Importance Goods:

While the Foundation can obtain these goods easily transporting them to the CrossBones is however a problem. While other pirates seek to look transports and restrictions set by locale governments or regimes most resource gathering is done through the military.

These are often used for the Military to consume and base their lively hood if they are not able to make port or seek refuge.

Is anything recreational and for personal gain. Drugs, Liquor and anything else considered to being a personal pleasure. This is not regulated.


SPECIAL GOODS:

These are smuggled goods directly within the RP.

= Slaves (These are actually abducted children used for the Foundations brainwashing programs to create fully reliable agents and terrorists for their political gains and military gains. Regular Military Personal will eventually come from the children stolen from all over Sirius. They are superior in the eyes of the CrossBone in regards to skills on the battlefield and highly prized over the pirates, mercs, freelancers that join freely.)

= Refugees (Most are turned into slaves if over the ages of 5 and are forced into conscripted services for the Military. And or get shipped back to the Mobile base to work on the pending fleet. Some choose to work with the CrossBones and are granted more privileged.)

Foundations Agent Training Program:


For the hundred years of existence the foundation didn't really have any military presence in mind. Rather espionage and power with political connections. Thus they funded and sponsored private schools. They were small strict schools even imploring Agendas. Often criticizing current government regimes. These schools can be found in Bretonia, Liberty, Kusari and even Rheinland.
Schooling starts at age 5 and end when they are 21. Most children are admitted freely as an way to increase the numbers of students going through The foundation's schools. Most students become successful and live basic lives. But are obligated to vote in favors for anything the Foundation is lobbying.

Eventually the top 5% of the graduated classes are invited to continue schooling; Elite school for espionage and paramilitary training. When completed they will have started their careers as spies. Training schools rarely known by the governments. (804AS) LSF however investigating bombings in Manhatten discovered connections leading to Officials in Colorado's System Governorship. LSF encountered one within Colorado, but couldn't get enough to warrant searches for the property. Thus the school closed up and moved. LSF has been searching ever since.

Weapons building and Ships:


Not till recently 816AS has the CrossBonesFoundation sought there own weapons program. Most concepts and prototype weapons deal with the specific needs of the Military. Funding coming easy their efforts for weapons effective enough seems to be at reach. However risk of being discovered is overbearing thus they move any weapons programs into space. "Grand void that hides the grasp of destruction," one of the Foundations leaders commented about the Weapons program. The goal of the weapons programs is to find better power efficient weapons for fighters, Gunboats, Cruisers.

For the reason of building their own fleet, 760AS was the starting point of the Fleet program starting with the base completed in 790AS. Again in space their base far out in desolate system quietly working away. In charge of the Fleet program is Ex military commander Tussin. Who was part of the Rheinland Military before being discharged for making a public statement. Tussin focuses the efforts the Capitol fleet construction on class ships such as:

-Light Cruisers
-Frigates
-Gunboats
-Bombers
-VHF's

Though ordered to design and construct one battleship Tussin believes a fleet of faster and powerful ships will be more effective then big clunky Battleship fleets. Tussin receives his resources from the looting and smuggling but does take much time. The base is basically a work prison and enforces harsh punishments for failure. Effectively as of 818AS 2 Light Cruisers, 1 Frigate has been completed. Each month that goes by the productivity increases. The base is ever more growing and for some resources becoming self-sufficient.

CrossBone's Spies and Informants

Over the course of the years the Foundation has placed spies all over Sirius. And some now reaching into Gallia. The few that know of the Foundation rumor that the founder was from Gallia. If this is true or not regardless the CrossBone will have their hand in the next coming years.

<<How to RP a CrossBone Pilot>>

Basically
General RP of the grunt pilots; These pilots are generally the grunts and hold the majority of the RP pool.

-How they Address themselves: Agent of the CrossBones, Agent, CrossBone Officer, Fighter for the New Nation, Agent of the New Era, Agent of Lord Gothera, Soldier of Gothera, Soldier of our Lord (Gothera), Solder of New Nation ect ect
-Their personal views: Extremely prideful of their CrossBones Militant brothers and sisters. Extremely fascist, Extremely repulsed by Gallia, Extremely against Sirius current governments and nations. They believe in One Nation in Sirius One government.
-Their personal excuse: Governments have been ruined by impure peoples. Economy suffers from the lack of understanding and the greed. Sirius is a bleeding dying system and they are set to fix it.
-If you approach a commence vessel (Trader, miner, smuggler ect ect) : You WILL not demand money (Providing you're in the ZOI). Never asked for goods unless you are able to pick them up. Only exceptions is that the trader is part of a treaty, directly with CBF, between CBF and another Faction.
-If you approach a military force: If you're unsure they are not an ally or foe do not attack only in self defense. IF you know they are an enemy the following is require - 1.) Ask them to join 2.) Ask them if they have anything useful for the CrossBones, 3.) Demand their supplies and Money. Should any infraction to any of the requests you're free to engage them. If they comply to at least one of these then don't attack unless they attack you.

- RP miscell notes: These pilots are fighting for the hope of creating a new nation so they will be free from all the old conflicts in Sirius. They fight GRN because they believe they are after their promise land "Promised Paradise" Thus the regular soldiers will act professional. While the mercs, freelancers, pirates that joined in are laxed and more cut throat. Each will be different pending on who is in charge of the the fleets. Each Constable has their own fleet. Some are strict and chivalrous others are thugs and loose.

<<How should CrossBone Foundation Members act/ Conduct and Rules>>

PVP Rules: Only engage in PVP if you've followed the RP basic requirements.
++ DO NOT COMPLAIN IN GAME ABOUT GANKS OR ANYTHING IN OORP OR OCC. TO THEM IN PVT OR IN SYSTEM CHAT.++
++ Do not break the Server Rules in any sense of the matter.++
++ Do not do iRP insulting be professional. Only people who are cowards are cowards who insult pilots that don't want to fight against a gank. If someone runs away from a fight so be it if you're not going to chase them then kill them then keep your mouth shut and move on. ++

Communication In Game: Do not occ or oorp with // in system and locale at ANY TIME in game. If it's important PM the other player.

--Never ever rule lawyers to other players. If you think they broke a rule then discuss it with your leadership and we will take care of it.

-- When CBF members are alone in group chat OCCing is allowed, but if there are other groups with us strictly RP with //occ labeled for OCC chat.

-- No swearing in System, Locale, Group, PM ever.

-- If you're drunk...don't talk. <_< Just pew pew when we say too.

-- If you feel like raging about something take it to SKYPE. Otherwise please avoid doing it in game.

RP rules: If someone just wants to RP and not fight DO NOT ATTACK THEM! RP will yield more victories over PVPing.

= Do not insult someone else's RP. Respect all other players.
= Do not lie in order to give excuses to kill someone. We have the basics....clause. Example : OH he shot me (lie) defending myself! That sort of business psst me off. Don't do it.
= Our first interest is to establish a link to other players in RP to find if they are willing to help so be neutral in your RP talks with others, not being aggressive but not being to lax.

Alright well i think that's it! The purpose of this was to basically make it more easy to navigate through, so i hope i did that for ya guys. This will most likely be edited constantly, and updates will be posted here. Feel free to also leave feedback, comments, or whatever else here. And again, this is the work of Zigeris. I just mainly cleaned/edited and updated it.

If you would just take the time to actually read it and the story.. you would find that we are terrorists. So the next person that dare say we are pirates or freelancers or mercs or outcasts or smugglers will have personally offended me and definitely offended Zieris, whom took the time to make a three page story for this faction blatantly screaming the words, "TERRORIST FACTION." We do not go around asking for credits, if one of our members does he/she shall be dealt with, we are not hired guns, and we absolutely one hundred percent DO NOT say "Arg!"
